SONIC DUH EP [SPECIAL SERIES]

SYMBIOSIS RADIO SHOW is a brand-new music podcast presented by SYM whose genre is mainly techno, house and electro where pumping beats with a melodic edge predominates, but there will always be space for further explorations.

SYMBIOSIS means “a close connection between different types of organisms in which they live together and benefit from each other”. Likewise, music is a way to connect humans from different backgrounds, sex, nationality, ethnicity (...) and get them together, and through music they can be unite with the desire to support and help each other.

SYM will open up the show with a faste pace selection featuring also a new track of his called "Infinity Generator" with a vocal recorded by himself.
Eric Fita will take over for the second part keeping the rhythm just as intense.
Having developed his skills as a sound technician, he's released his debut track on Moai Recordings a few weeks back. He's definitely a talented upcoming producer to keep an eye on.

it’s been a challenge to complete this EP, we started the project to combine our good ideas and eventually realized these tracks had some potential, also thanks to the powerful vocals by our dear Mila More .
Then together with Lunar we worked hard and even remotely at some point, which made it even more challenging.

Hi boys & girls, SYM presents you another episode of Symbiosis Radio Show.
I’m so honoured to have a really important guest, the one and only Luis Miranda.

Born in Madrid, he’s now based in Los Angeles.
He counts releases on most of the best-known techno labels in the world like KD Raw, Tronic, Odd Recordings, JAM and got supported by names like Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, Sam Paganini and many others. He reached number 1 on Beatport with his EP called Sensation [KD Raw] in February 2021.

Luis has performed all over California and in some of the best clubs worldwide like Fabrik in Madrid, Privilege in Ibiza, Baum in Bogota and festivals like Burning Man where Billboard Magazine ranked his set as one of the best 10 in 2018.

As usual, the first hour of the show is curated by myself. You will listen to hypnotic groovy tunes all the way ending with some harder ravy sounds.

This time’s guest is an artist who is highly devoted to music whose name is Izan Cramer.
7 years ago he decided to create Kraneal, a platform started as a radio show that has become an established party in Barcelona where he’s managed to invite DJs like Ben Sims, Perc, Chris Liberator, Flug and so on.
He counts gigs in renown venues across the Iberian peninsula in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Zaragoza and clubs as Florida 135, Reset Club, Café del Mar and many more.

He’s also been active as a producer and has released on Subwoofer Records, Oxytech Records and a few others.

Hey welcome to the episode number 30 of Symbiosis Radio Show!

So glad to have onboard one of the most versatile and prolific artists in the last 30 years, it’s the one and only A.Paul.

His distinctive sound and innovative techniques have propelled his career both in Portugal, where he was voted the best Portuguese techno DJ for several years, and globally. He has performed at renowned events such as Awakenings (Netherlands), Technolandia (Portugal), Aquasella (Spain), Decibel (Netherlands),,as well as esteemed clubs like Tresor (Berlin), Fabrik (Madrid), Industrial Copera (Granada) and Kremlin (Lisbon) to name a few.

A.Paul's musical journey began in 1995 with his first record release and continued with the creation of Squeeze Records and Onh.Cet Records in the 90s, and since then he's made numerous excepcional releases on labels like Synewave, Planet Rhythm, Yin Yang and of course his own imprint Naked Lunch which he started in 2005 and have always featured the best techno artists of the planet.

Hello hello, it’s SYM here presenting you Symbiosis Radio Show.

For this chapter, I’m happy to have a talented artist named Rexer.

Born in Galicia, he emerged from the underground scene of his region and developed a strong interest in electronic music and mixing techniques.
His style - characterized by percussive rhythms and powerful basslines - combine dark and introspective ambiences with high BPMs and makes the dance floor constantly moving.
He’s currently based in Barcelona where he became a co-founder of YO·YO, a queer collective focused on the LGBTQ+ community with a sonic identity centered in groovy techno and trance.
Recently Rexer has broken through the local scene having played in many hot parties in town at Input, Apolo and Moog, and he will soon share the DJ booth with no other than the man himself, Richie Hawtin.

But first, I will provide myself an hour of this new trend of sounds between hypnotic techno and hardgroove that I love so much lately. Let’s have a listen!

Hey boys and girl, this is SYM and you’re listening to Symbiosis Radio Show.

This time our guest mix will be provided by LUMERTZ.
He’s a Brazilian DJ & Producer currently based in Australia, and his style is built on top of percussive grooves and hypnotic synths inspired by classic Detroit and Berlin Techno.
During his trajectory, LUMERTZ has been conquering his space not only in the Australian scene but also started to project his name out in the world by building a solid name for himself through his songs. Proof of that can be seen on supports in festivals and clubs like Awakenings, DGTL, Sonus, Monegro, Neopop, Watergate, Space Miami, Drumcode Radio Show and by artists such as Richie Hawtin, Juliet Fox, Lea Occhi, Anika Kunst, Justine Perry, Sama' Abdulhadi, Alex Stein and many more.
In 2023, after a period of 'rebranding' and self development as a producer, he started to release his songs again with a new strong identity.
The first wave of this new phase started this year
with releases on Noise Music, Tronic, Solid Tracks and Kaligo Records.

With no doubt LUMERTZ can be seen consolidating his steps in the world's music scene and presenting himself as a name to be kept in mind of the new generation of Techno artists.

But let’s begin with the first part of the show curated by myself, showcasing some groovy tunes and going to harder territories towards the end.

His style is a combination of heavy grooves, dark sequences and house influences, and his music is constantly evolving that you will never hear him stuck in one sound only.

SYM is a project started in 2013 and since then he's had residencies in Civitanova (Italy), Liverpool, Manchester and Ibiza.
He's now based in Barcelona where he runs a monthly event called Sociedad Groove (@sociedadgroove) and he's DJ'ed in many clubs in town such as MOOG, Garage of The Bass Valley, M7, City Hall, Macarena and in Spain like Florida 135 (Fraga), Hangar48 (Madrid), Jazzbah (Menorca) etc.
He's shared the DJ booth with big names such as Marco Bailey, Shlomi Aber, Beau Didier, Ruiz Osc1, M.I.T.A., Pushmann, Pig&Dan and much more.

He also counts some other international gigs in Berlin (Ava Club, Humbolthain Club); London (Werkhaus); Porto (Hard Club); Amsterdam (RD Made); Lille, France (La Rélève); Hong Kong (Slap); Riga, Latvia (Moon Safari); Nazilli, Turkey (Taco Rene); Bangkok, Thailand (9 Bar Khao San Road).

His productions have received positive feedback by the likes of Luigi Madonna, DJ Dextro, Shlomi Aber, Michael Klein, A.Paul, Saytek and got released on big labels such as Contempo, Special Series, Naked Lunch, Dolma Records...
