After featuring a new version of the popular NY Drive on Get Physical's Body Language Volume 15 compilation -by DJ T-, Teuton duo Tapesh and Kevin Over are back on GP by way of their fresh new Secret Handshake EP. 
The release features three ice-cold tracks that ooze street cool, all the way from its eponymous opening, Secret Handshake, with its bubbling rhythms and long, sweet buildup, to Junior Street's soulful vocals set against a chill, heavy backdrop, and on to U Brother, closing it all with hypnotic broken beats.

The Tapesh & Maximiljan outfit has proven to be a successful combination as their last 6-track EP, “When We Were Young” (Noir Music) swooned not just a few labels in the Berlin Electro circuit. Their unique approach to deep house has been recognized and highly supported by the likes of Get Physical, Suara, Rebirth, Souvenir and now Leena Records has finally gotten their hands on this talented duo.
Stemming from the Dusseldorf scene, Tapesh & Maximiljan have paved their way to success through hard-cranked productions and deep flared beats. Filling up venues in in London, Ibiza, Amsterdam, Warsaw, Dubai and all over Germany, the duo manage their time to please.

“One Night” is a 3-part deep house EP with intense vocals making for a loungy afterhour feel. The first track seduces the listener at a comfortable level as the second track prepares for the full blown dance vibe of “This Is” that will sweep weary bodies under the rotating lights.

Tapesh was brought up in his father’s clubs during the early 80s, where he had no choice but to listen to things like Kraftwerk and proper funk music. Given his impressionable young ears, it’s no wonder he has never stopped listening and now spends his days playing music to others. Having finally broken through into the public conscious thanks to productions like Reminisce on Get Physical, Feelings on Mobilee as well as others on labels like Noir and Defected, Tapesh has become very much in demand around the world, taking his flamboyant DJ sets to clubs like Cocoon in Frankfurt, Warung in Brazil and Studio 80 in the Netherlands.





With multi-cultural roots informed by everything from house to breakdance across scenes in UK, US and Europe, Tapesh has fomented a very unique DJ style that takes in plenty of sounds and knits them together into one grater whole. Loco Dice, Jamie Jones, DJ T and Anja Schneider, for example, are all fans of that special ‘Tapesh feeling’, and that same feeling is what makes the man’s music so well loved. As for the future, Tapesh is currently working on a new compilation and a full artist album as well as working on new singles and EPs all the while.
