This is Lorahn and today I finally felt the calling to share my set from last EDA with you (forgive me for the delay).  

It was such a beautifully packed Sunday Morning Dance in The Jungle in Amsterdam. Thank you all for coming!

This set is filled with organic gems, rare Indian tracks, folktronica and uplifiting rhythms to get you moving towards a natural state of pure ecstacy. 

I want to take this moment to share my deep gratitude and love for the Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam community for the warm welcome home.

This is a mix I created for Shrine's Basura Sagrada Temple Fundraiser for Burning Man in 2008 on request of Marsi Frey for an auction of private mixes to raise money for the Temple.  I never released this for the public before.  
This is my sacred but chaotic interpretation of Shrine and what I thought at that time would be a good soundtrack for his Temple at Burning Man, as I was not going to go that year, but wanted to contribute to this special project at that time.

Drawing from the tranquil springs of tribal organica, electro-instrumental collaborators Liquid Bloom and Poranguí join forces once again in a sonic return to the source with the ecstatic dance floor voyage, “Regreso al Agua.” Sweeping listeners into a holographic world of deep bass undercurrents and shapeshifting melodies, the song is presented in three glimmering forms that flow through the realms of spirited deep house, exotic tribal bass, and atmospheric downtempo.

With remixes by visionary bass artists Geometrae and Numatik, Liquid Bloom’s transformative style of genre-fusion takes shape as a rippling stream of electronic and acoustic sounds backed by waves of soothing vocals and instrumentation by Poranguí, beckoning us to step from the shores of consciousness back to the quiet waters from which all life has come.

DJ Taz Rashid (DJ TAZ) brings a high vibrational energy to any crowd instantly by mixing the beats and rhythms of Love, Ancient New World, Remixes, House, Kirtan, Devotional, and all the cosmic sounds. His vision is to be a channel to cause the expansion of all those around by tapping into the creative wisdom of the body and allowing them to feel, let go and awaken. 

He has been producing and part of creating conscious events in the Midwest over the last few years and as a musician, he plays guitar, keyboard, Native American Flute, didgeridoo and hand percussion.  He takes these instruments and connects to the Divine and what comes through has the ability to move his crowd to connect to their Divine higher selves. Recently he has been performing and DJing at events such as Bhakti Fest, Serendipity Festival, Denver Chant Fest, Arise Festival, Zen Cruise, Hanuman Festival, Greenheart Transforms, Yoga Journal, Wanderlust Festivals and many more conscious gatherings.
