Infused with the rhythms of a rediscovered tribe, Raio's innovative approach to organic electronic music brings jungle and ocean together in a colourful confluence. Alongside afro-inflected guitar lines, native flutes and tribal percussion, delicate electronic production and prayerful vocals weave together to create a stunning soundscape that takes the listener on a journey to nature's temples.

Drawing on a wide range of collaborations in the original album, this collection of remixes from producers around the world is a collaborative masterpiece. With over 16 years of experience uplifting the tribe in Bali, Raio is not only a musician and DJ but a father, eco-community steward, and an operator of his mystic jungle studio. With Ecstatic Dance finding one of its early homes in Bali and Raio being one of the main anchors in this community, this release is rooted in a potent tradition of dancing in nature with tribes from all around the world. ARE YOU INSPIRED? 
Have you realized that everything in your life you have thought to do has been because of some sort of inspiration you received from someone, something, or some place? Inspiration is the light that pulls us forward and one of the most valuable principles in our human experience. It has the power to drive us to supreme greatness and has the potential to change the world in a small or huge way. 

What inspires you... that light that pulls you towards it and brings you joy enough to take action? Inspiration is unique to everyone and to recognize it in our everyday lives is a beautiful habit to cultivate. The more I follow my inspiration with grace and gratitude, the more sacred and blessed my life becomes. 

Rumi, the Sufi mystic, says “What you seek is seeking you.” 

As we seek to honor the Dance of Fathers Day and Summer Solstice this week, let's gain inspiration from both! Father energy has a great way of offering a solid sense of safety and inspires us to keep our chins up, be strong, courageous, prepared, self sufficient, successful, and show kindness and respect. The Sun of Solstice brings the first day of summer which inspires new activities, to be outside more and spend time with nature, enjoy, play, and take vacations! No doubt, its time for inspired action and some serious fun! 

For this Sunday's dance journey, I invite us to become aware of our inspirations. Maybe it's a particular sound, rhythm, movement, partner, thought, feeling, idea or memory. Let's use this dance to honor that light which pulls us forward and that which shines through! 

On this powerful day with Father and Sun, let's be inspired, shine our light, and be an inspiration to our people. Why walk through life when you can dance?

The debut East Forest LP, “The Education Of The Individual Soul” is a forty-five minute uninterrupted sonic voyage down a rabbit hole of jungle monkeys, entheogenic messages, and pulsing beats – all designed to guide the listener toward inner healing. The 13 tracks weave around vintage piano, rhodes, electronic blips and bleeps, cosmic pads, with a solid foundation in minimalist melody.

We celebrate two years of Shika Shika with the release of our third compilation: Eco. 

Eco sums up what Shika Shika is about - the global reverberations of styles, genres, traditions and sounds moving around the world and fusing to create inspiring new music. We call it music without borders and on Eco we present 11 tracks that are exactly that. 

The tracks we hand-picked for Eco draw inspiration from traditional rhythms, stories and melodies and fuse them with individual inspirations, sounds from nature and electronic music. This is exemplified on Di Laif’s anthemic opener “Paso Por el Fuego” or Guazú’s incredible “Pava de Monte” featuring Wenceslada. Some artists like Jin Jerei and Oxhalá take us on a journey deep into their roots while others like Didacte and O.R. create atmospheric textural, electronic-organic soundscapes. Ibu Selva’s “Chega de Esperar” is a rework of a Brazilian agrarian reform anthem while Klik & Frik offer up a beautiful edit of Hassan Ben Jaafar, a master of Moroccan Gnawa music. 

It is hard to believe it has been two years since Shika Shika was started as a platform to showcase some of the music we truly loved from the thriving community from Sao Paulo to Seoul. Two years of connections, exchanges, ideas, new sounds and, most of all, incredible support and feedback from the people who listen & buy this music all over the world. We started Shika Shika as a way to give exposure and support to this community, sharing 70% of all the profits with the artists directly, and are inspired to continue pushing the music we love. 

Thank you to everyone who has supported us so far. We all appreciate it dearly.

DJ Taz Rashid (DJ TAZ) brings a high vibrational energy to any crowd instantly by mixing the beats and rhythms of Love, Ancient New World, Remixes, House, Kirtan, Devotional, and all the cosmic sounds. His vision is to be a channel to cause the expansion of all those around by tapping into the creative wisdom of the body and allowing them to feel, let go and awaken. 

He has been producing and part of creating conscious events in the Midwest over the last few years and as a musician, he plays guitar, keyboard, Native American Flute, didgeridoo and hand percussion.  He takes these instruments and connects to the Divine and what comes through has the ability to move his crowd to connect to their Divine higher selves. Recently he has been performing and DJing at events such as Bhakti Fest, Serendipity Festival, Denver Chant Fest, Arise Festival, Zen Cruise, Hanuman Festival, Greenheart Transforms, Yoga Journal, Wanderlust Festivals and many more conscious gatherings.
