This track was done about 2 months ago with Flikswitch & Idham for Motul Rhythm. It was a competition organised by Motul Oil to encouraged motorbike users to record sound samples from their bikes and everything else related to it and get them submitted online. We picked two winners out and uses their winning sound samples in this track.

Flikswitch, Idham, Terence C - Motul Rhythm (Original Mix)

As the warm autumnal colours of copper, russet and ochre turn to muted monochrome palettes, hues of icy blue and opaque crystal usher in a seasonal compilation that bursts through slate grey skies in sparkling sunlight, cascading sonic reflections across the underground dance scene.

"Winter Particles 2018" draws together a collection of artists that traverse the globe from North and South America to Africa, Asia and Europe. An assemblage of subtle and beautiful tunes is brought together that epitomises the Particles ethos – showcasing established artists and highlighting aspiring newcomers in an aural collage of electronic sound.

The arrival of seasonal shift sees shafts of light reach out into the shadows and dust. A mote sparkles in the bright light; caught in light breeze it drifts gently in hypnotic patterns. The presence of a filtered arpeggio takes a similar path, rising and falling in effortless waves. A piano note hits, cascading repeatedly into eternity as a growling bassline creates perfect juxtaposition; a liquid ink sky lit up by a carpet of luminous pinpricks.

Summer's petrichor a distant memory amidst the icy shards that cling to bare branches, the snow-swept ridges keep their secret of once green and rolling hilltops. Winter's zeitgeist is firmly held within pulsating rhythms and melodies to warm the soul. The acceleration of time brings with it a new musical direction and impulse for change. Elevated to new heights, shimmering percussive intent casts a spell of hidden energy, an electrical charge and dynamic spirit. The fusion or organic and electronic sounds are crystal clear in invigorating sonic shapes and patterns.

Heading for the winter trip, heading for the slide. A mountain isn't far to fall when you're falling from a silhouetted moon.

One of the steadiest hands in the business, Terence C is one of Malaysia’s hidden gems. A resident DJ in KL clubs for 15 years, he has warmed up audiences for practically every A-List DJ you can name, a roll call that reads like a history lesson in electronic music that includes David Morales, Fatboy Slim, Pete Tong, Chicane, Sasha, Hernan Cattaneo, Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli and Paul van Dyk, with many visiting stars requesting that Terence opens for them.

To his loyal fans, Terence C is known as the Malaysian John Digweed – a longtime hero to Terence – both for his technical ability, his depth of knowledge of dance music that spans both time and genres and in his ability to program thrilling sets to suit every occasion at the drop of a hat. From deep house, tech house and techno, nothing fazes this industry professional.

A sign of his maturity and skill, he is the go-to guy whenever Digweed plays KL, having notched up at least 5 opening or closing sets for him at the Bedrock icon’s request.

With almost ten years at Zouk to his name, Terence C is now emerging from the shadows to concentrate on his production work – with a raft of releases scheduled for later in the year – and increasing his visibility across South East Asia. And with a reputation as Malaysia’s hardest-working DJ he looks poised to achieve it.
