I don't mean to impose, but after a period of hibernation and emotional healing, I present the first Hot Melting Face of 2023.... And like Ron Reis hitting that post head on, you're post to melt accordingly...  My emotional rollercoaster is still very raw in essence, and this effort to achieve some strange catharsis still resonates in this episode... Not knowing it was the last night we would see her, at the end of May our little Bombay cat Billie walked out into the night and did not return to us.  She was the second cat within a year that we lost, and while our time was relatively short together, we went through the ringer in terms of phases of interaction and growth, and we love and miss her tremendously.  May her energy pervade the greater sphere of existence, and may this effort be found as a fitting send off for such a treasure trove of love and affection.

Greetings to you all, my melting monstrosities.... It only took a month this time to sneak another liquefied and boiling visage of bangers upon you, and like I said last time, bangers and mash are here to be smashed and in quite the abundance... 

I hope all had a good high holiday and is in as safe a state as the sweltering sun will allow you, because we got some fresh jams lined up for the partaking... After a brief start from People Under the Stairs, we move on to fresh tracks from Galkin, fresher tracks from Stoned Giant (Qwazaar and Batsauce), and old goodie from Aloha Haole, a piece of new new from Monster Rally, a fresh face in Das Racist, an old friend in Psyche Origami, more good stuff from The Chemist & The Acevities followed by a brief statement from The Directa, wrapping things up with The Observers as we then make amends with our friends at Very Bad Wizards....

Hoping to continue the work rate of one a month for awhile, but the potential for schedules to fall apart at the current moment is a very possible thing... So noting this, I am patiently awaiting one last precious cache of goodies before I start up again... but thank you for listening and for being here for the ride, even if things get klammy sometimes.... The fungible fact of the matter is that while this particular drop fits the standard heated melter status, it may feel a bit different than the usual pieces due to the lack of usual Surf music... it's here, it just isn't in the usual doses one might prefer... Despite the notion, the ocean sways on and I'm just happy to get back to dropping these around rent check time instead of at the half-month mark, so in getting back in alignment, let's melt our facial features and becomes beautifully scary creatures....

We begin with Mr. Torgue going a little Torgo, then party hard with People Under the Stairs, we then get back in the ring with The Taikonauts, moving along into Czarface with R.A. the Rugged Man, then funk out with Black Pumas, take a short aside with Monster Rally before jamming out hard with Marlowe (L'Orange and Solemn Brigham), wile the fuck out to some Duct Tape before questioning our scholastic funding with Hypnotic Brass Ensemble finally ending with a poignant remark from Tam and Peez over at Very Bad Wizards...

I want to issue a small thanks for those of you who have listened to the new releases, it's been a bit of a challenge geting back into the fold and dealing with the minor mishaps which seem to have kept it from realigning itself to the standard release schedule, but getting back to this point was such a cathartic achievement and you are all a major part of it... Thank you for melting with me....

As the seasonal change begins to actually relish in some form of less melt-worthy weather, we meander into the season of Pumpkins, Horror, and Pumpkin Spiced Horror.... So with that in mind, I am adjusting the production schedule accordingly to have a double dip for the month, this lovely morsel to hold us over until I can try to cobble together a witches stout of a Hot Melting Face for All Hallows Eve... but what about the now?

So the now begins with a glorious bit of flamenco fire courtesy of the old homey Grizzly, moving onto a funky break from Kutiman, then one of my favorite pieces from NyxFears, the last throws of Summer's best as passed along by People Under the Stairs, a meandering bumper from Monster Rally before going way back in time with Tone Tank, transitioning into a super run away from The Kingargoolas, a Viking Youth state of the union, a questionable transition from Marlowe (L'Orange and Solemn Brigham) and finally a safe wormhole to escape through provided by WRAY.....

Your curator is happy to have this bad boy up at the beginning of the month again, all the better to start stacking things for a end of the month deadline.... A solid simmer of a mix leading into a descent away from the direct sunlight and into a slow swelter into the new ATL winter... Let's get to the recipe, shall we?

So first we crack the skulls of those who needed a chairshot opening from nahncenz. as we then settle on the primary passcodes of a stellar joint that is Obeah x Day Tripper x Tvpes, we then get twangy with some Intóxicos, then watch the world burn with People Under the Stairs, play out a classic thought experiment with Yugen Blakrok, proceeded by Yamantaka // Sonic Titan and some glorious Noh Wave, hit a few waves with The Mystery Men?, then drop the summer jam of 2019 from Allen Thomas (get that shit, like right the fuck now) and then close out with a quick Wrist Radio jammer from The Astroglides...

Uncertain how the final mixes of the 2019 season are going to play out, but I think as the swelter diminshes and the effects of our melted faces congealing in the cooler weather begin to bring their own horrors... we shall persevere in the face of heat severe with no fear and hopefully a beer....
