I don't mean to impose, but after a period of hibernation and emotional healing, I present the first Hot Melting Face of 2023.... And like Ron Reis hitting that post head on, you're post to melt accordingly...  My emotional rollercoaster is still very raw in essence, and this effort to achieve some strange catharsis still resonates in this episode... Not knowing it was the last night we would see her, at the end of May our little Bombay cat Billie walked out into the night and did not return to us.  She was the second cat within a year that we lost, and while our time was relatively short together, we went through the ringer in terms of phases of interaction and growth, and we love and miss her tremendously.  May her energy pervade the greater sphere of existence, and may this effort be found as a fitting send off for such a treasure trove of love and affection.

The fungible fact of the matter is that while this particular drop fits the standard heated melter status, it may feel a bit different than the usual pieces due to the lack of usual Surf music... it's here, it just isn't in the usual doses one might prefer... Despite the notion, the ocean sways on and I'm just happy to get back to dropping these around rent check time instead of at the half-month mark, so in getting back in alignment, let's melt our facial features and becomes beautifully scary creatures....

We begin with Mr. Torgue going a little Torgo, then party hard with People Under the Stairs, we then get back in the ring with The Taikonauts, moving along into Czarface with R.A. the Rugged Man, then funk out with Black Pumas, take a short aside with Monster Rally before jamming out hard with Marlowe (L'Orange and Solemn Brigham), wile the fuck out to some Duct Tape before questioning our scholastic funding with Hypnotic Brass Ensemble finally ending with a poignant remark from Tam and Peez over at Very Bad Wizards...

I want to issue a small thanks for those of you who have listened to the new releases, it's been a bit of a challenge geting back into the fold and dealing with the minor mishaps which seem to have kept it from realigning itself to the standard release schedule, but getting back to this point was such a cathartic achievement and you are all a major part of it... With that shenanigan aside, welcome to the September edition of Hot Melting Face, and in anticipation of my Wu Day (achieving my 36th Chamber) I decided to be lazy and let the labor of love out on Labor Day instead of beating the usual punch... A solid simmer of a mix leading into a descent away from the direct sunlight and into a slow swelter into the new ATL winter... Let's get to the recipe, shall we?

So first we crack the skulls of those who needed a chairshot opening from nahncenz. as we then settle on the primary passcodes of a stellar joint that is Obeah x Day Tripper x Tvpes, we then get twangy with some Intóxicos, then watch the world burn with People Under the Stairs, play out a classic thought experiment with Yugen Blakrok, proceeded by Yamantaka // Sonic Titan and some glorious Noh Wave, hit a few waves with The Mystery Men?, then drop the summer jam of 2019 from Allen Thomas (get that shit, like right the fuck now) and then close out with a quick Wrist Radio jammer from The Astroglides...

Uncertain how the final mixes of the 2019 season are going to play out, but I think as the swelter diminshes and the effects of our melted faces congealing in the cooler weather begin to bring their own horrors... we shall persevere in the face of heat severe with no fear and hopefully a beer.... Melt accordingly, mein amigos...
