Life is Liquid was born out of the feelings that were generated post-depressive episode. I was mentally gone for a while and when I returned, there was the realization that this affected the closest relationships that I have with people. Therefore, bringing up some difficult feelings that I had to process and filter in some way. Music helped me do that. I hope this helps someone better understand me and I hope it helps inspire someone else. Thanks for listening.

This mix took a while to come together because I had a creative block for several weeks. However, I was finally able to put the playlist together and I mixed in key based on mood and sound. This mix turned out so beautifully and I brought the end full circle by mixing the ending track back into the middle of the beginning track. I just wanted to try something a bit different than the usual. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I did creating it.

TL, better know as Taralynn, a prominent figure in the EDM scene, celebrates her 40th birthday on April 23, marking a significant milestone in her two-decade journey. Specializing in Ambient Liquid Drum & Bass, she brings a distinctive touch to the music world, captivating audiences with her creative style of mixing.

TL was born and raised in upstate New York, and she moved to Austin, Texas when she was 20 years old, living there from 2004 until 2012. She moved to North Carolina in 2012 where she has been a figure in the local EDM since ever since. TL has taken a number of hiatuses in-between due to her own mental health struggles. She always finds her way back to the thing she loves the most though. 

As the founder of Sub Low Triangle, Taralynn has not only contributed to the vibrancy of North Carolina's EDM community but has also become a respected blogger for DanceGruv Radio in Durham, NC. Her enduring passion for the electronic music scene is evident in her promotion of events, which often grace popular venues across the Triangle. She recently threw her first event for Sub Low Triangle’s first year anniversary and it went as well as could be expected. The community embraces her, loves having her around, and fully supports her in everything that she chooses to do. 

Beyond her musical expertise, TL is a creative force, harnessing two types of Synesthesia directly related to music. With auditory-tactile synesthesia, she feels the music, and through sound-color synesthesia, she experiences a unique mental imagery, allowing her to see music in vibrant hues. This synesthetic experience has become an integral part of her creative process in making her Life is Liquid mixes for The Liquid Sessions series.
