Four our 13th podcast, we are super happy to host Brooklyn-based artist, Jacob Long aka Earthen Sea! 
His droney ambient, glacial dub-techno and beat tape inspired glitchy downtempo sounds had already gained the likes of labels such as Other People, Silent Season, Kranky or more recently Huinali Recordings & Mysteries of the Deep.  The selector DJ aims to tie together a number of different tangents of musical interest into a coherent audio journey. He offered us a deep journey into Ambient, Dub & percussive elements. Today we welcome Spclnch back on Delayed, this time with a track from Alien Workshop, the upcoming EP from Russian artist R.Hz, who has been in form lately, with multiple releases throughout 2022. 

Spectrum, the A1 track, serves as the perfect opener. With a brooding, efficient and enticing intro, the track's percussion and bassline gain traction and become more and more powerful as the track goes by. The track's moodiness and dark, eerie aura make it a perfect piece for any warm-up set puzzle. 

Spclnch has become a consistently reliable source for minimal-leaning dubby house, breaks and techno, and this EP extends their streak and cements their status even further. We are excited to listen to and support Spclnch and R.Hz's future endeavors. 

The Alien Workshop EP by R.Hz will be out on spclnch, both on vinyl and digitally, on February 2, 2023.

It's the first sunday of January and 2018 and that means a brand new Ambient Sessions!
This monthly released podcast brings you the best and the most diversity Ambient music can offer. This months session is created by Funky Jeff.

About the mix:

 As I often take the plane and I have a bunch of long ambient tracks over 30, 40 and 50 minutes from Bandcamp, I thought of making a mix longer than usual (usually less than 80 for CD's) for the purpose of soothing the plane flights. Also inspired by Brian Eno, I preferred beatless tracks with nurturing synth sounds.
