RASEREI PREMIERE: Karenz - Merengue Tool

My next guest on Yax Invites is Alberto Tolo, an Italian DJ and Producer from Padua.

Born in 1990, Alberto started making and playing his own music in the early 2000s and in 2006 he released his first EP and never stopped. In early 2010, Alberto released his first major EP on a very big label called SCI+ TEC which was followed by a second one a few years later.

After his experience on minimal techno, he decided to move into a more raw sound with the first release on Kaiserdisco's label KD RAW. This release changed his vision of music forever and kicked off his personal journey on hardgroove, inspired by tracks of which he listened to in his youth during the early 2000's releasing tracks on underground techno collectives such as Different Sounds, Reflekt and in his own signature ALT, and finally on the mighty BCCO.

Alberto never left the art of DJing and he continued to carry on both sides so it is a pleasure to have him on the series.

My next guest on Yax Invites is Toltech. 

Carlos, aka Toltech, is a disciple of the old-school Montréal techno scene, who seamlessly blends Mesoamerican influences with a spectrum of techno styles, from hypnotic, industrial and raw to funky and hardgroove. His music is meant to guide listeners through a range of moods, from somber, hypnotic rhythms to vibrant grooves such as that, before you know it, has gotten your body to move.

"This nearly 2-hour mix is a journey through the diverse range of techno sounds I stand for, featuring a few of my own studio productions. While I explore different sonic landscapes—from the smoother, somber, darker side to the harder, more clangy, without leaving the groovy vibes behind—the focus always remains on the ultimate goal: keeping the dancefloor moving. Peaks and valleys shape the experience, blending energy and atmosphere, but never straying from the rhythm that drives it all".
