Our beloved duo @Madota is back on Saisons with their first original EP. A project that embodies a pivotal chapter for them after a long time apart on different sides of the world. After experiencing humanity on pause from different coordinates, Behnam and Mehran finally reunited in Berlin, picked up the energy where they left off and dove straight into the studio with a new approach to their creative process.

In the light of everything happening in their motherland of Iran, they feel more called than ever to celebrate their heritage. In this 2-track EP, you can feel Madota’s roots. It’s a voyage into their past that taps into the energies and the stories of where they come from…and it only feels like the beginning.

'Roobah' is playful with colorful roots. The duo created this track from blending piano pieces of Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou - an Ethiopian nun who they grew up to love, mixed with Ahmad Shamloo’s audio recreation of "The Little Prince". The audio tapes and CDs of Shamloo’s work became illegal after the Islamic Revolution.

The result of this sonic painting is a celebration of both stories in a deep and jazzy groove with warm soulful harmonies. Dusty and playful. An ode to life and freedom.

'Del' is the darker and deeper track of the pair. The groove is rooted in a dense and weighed down rhythm coupled with shreds of dusty pianos. Behnam’s voice guides the story, singing 'Del' which means ‘Heart’ in farsi. The lyrics come from an old persian poem that goes something like:

O heart, if you love
Seek comfort
In the heart of day and night

The track embodies Madota’s overflow of emotions that come up in reviving their relationship with their roots while also honoring the courage of their people in their fight for freedom.

A part of the proceeds from this release will go to support families in Iran.

Anjunadeep label favorite and rising star of the electronic scene Tom Marshall, aka Marsh, is pleased to present his third artist album ‘Endless’.

Few artists exude as much passion for, and dedication to, their craft as Tom Marshall (AKA Marsh). Since he first emerged on the electronic music scene in the mid-2010s, Marsh has sculpted a uniquely soulful sound that has captivated his listeners and earned him a fast-growing and intensely devoted fanbase.

‘Endless’ follows two previous bodies of work; his 2017 debut ‘Life On The Shore’, and his critically-acclaimed Anjunadeep debut LP, ‘Lailonie’, the latter of which has accumulated over 20 million streams to date, and sold over 1500 vinyl copies. Marsh also has an array of widely-supported anthems in his discography. ‘Come Together’ (with Nox Vahn), ‘Little Darling’ and the Beatport chart-topping ‘Lost In You’ are some of his best-loved tracks, all streaming well into the millions and winning support from electronic music’s most prominent artists, including Joris Voorn, Pete Tong, Diplo, and RÜFÜS DU SOL.

The two years since Marsh released his previous album ‘Lailonie’ have seen Tom moving around the States and touring the globe in a world rapidly opening up post-pandemic. This whirlwind, semi-nomadic lifestyle has inspired his third artist album ‘Endless’, and caused him to take stock of his values. In his own words, “I’ve written this entire album on the move, writing from so many different homes. On a deeper, more spiritual level, this has led me to question, what is truly home, and will we experience home after this life?”

‘Endless’ comprises eleven memorable tracks, including collaborations with vocalists Jodie Knight, Leo Wood and Mariel Beausejour. Drawing on influences as diverse as the rich trance sounds of the 2000s that soundtracked his teenage years, and the musicality of crossover drum & bass acts like Pendulum, Tom’s next offering is perhaps his most expansive in scope. Opening with the subtle first track ‘Pneuma’, the album moves from emotive and lyrical tracks like ‘Sleep’ and ‘Forgiveness’, to piano house melodies on ‘Reminiscent,’ smooth broken beats on ‘Blue’, and pulsing deep house on the Jodie Knight vocal-led ‘Fragments,’  all united by Marsh’s innate warm musicality.

‘Endless’ is accompanied by an impressive album tour. Phase one comprises 26 dates across North and South America with the first three dates sold out. Phase two dates will be on sale around the album release and feature a lone UK performance on April 08 at Electric Brixton.

We’re kicking off the new year in style with a fantastic new double header by RAXON. This Egypt-born, barcelonese powerhouse has left his scent marks all over the place in recent years. He has developed an instantly recognizable sound and that’s no small feat in these times shaped by so much formulaic dullness. “Your Fault” sees our Catalan hot shot in an exuberant disco mood. Mind bending chord progressions foiled with Raxon’s trademark vocal stutters guarantee for wonderfully twisted hands in the air moments. With “Beskar” we’re entering Star Wars nerd territory. Jedipedia says, Beskar is a uniquely resistant iron that develops a wide range of properties - and colors - in the hands of skilled metalsmiths. Alright. Musically speaking, we’re dealing with a stealthy, funky as hell trance-not-trance juggernaut. 2024 is off to a good start!
