Rescued & survived from storage HDD data fatal crash due to hardware failure. All digital audio data including trance mixed compilations produced between 1999 to 2005 tragically lost in the crash! WTF? Shit happens! 😉 Since I've never gone clubbing, bars hopping, attending rave festivals, live music concerts and definitely not world cup matches 😉...etc, I don't remember much as time kept passing by so quickly and found myself at this world renowned club https://1015.com/ where I've heard that only world #1 DJs including Tiësto, PVD, AVB...etc, frequently had their gigs! (although guest DJ slot kindly offered to me several times but I declined) I was there giving away demo CDs of this mix to clubbers and same demo CD has been virtually shared with y'all since I joined SoundCloud early 2014!

As seen in the photo, Mocha loves chilling out on our mini bar listening to Jazz Funk! Had been in/out to our patio for food and water since 2018 but never stayed until last summer, found sad, alone in our backyard! Greeted him & Mocha followed me to our patio, happily joined cat colony ever since! 
(His previous owner moved and cruelly left him behind) Mocha is cool, calm, collected, huge Jazz Funk enthusiast, fully vaccinated, micro-chipped, registered, neutered & severely off the market! 😉

Another forgotten project since the mid 90's and finally brought to life! If you have seen the original movie "Shaft" with its motion picture soundtrack produced by Academy award winner Isaac Hayes! After earning an Oscar for Shaft motion picture soundtrack, "Ike" produced another soundtrack for low budget films "Three Tough Guys & Truck Turner"! The movies didn't make it at the box office but their motion picture soundtracks, in my opinion are way better than Shaft and the academy award should have been given to "Ike" as his second Oscar award! After collecting dust for almost 20 years, original analog master tape was brought to Fantasy Studios, Berkeley CA in 1993! One of my critical audiophile mates kindly shared the 1993 digitally captured tunes with me while he worked there and those HD WAV 24bit files surprisingly found in one of my forgotten storage HDDs during the first lockdown of the highly anticipated Plandemic 2020! 😉

Mixing, audio mastering notes:
Individual tracks continuously mixed using Sony Acid Pro 7, no beat mapping, no EQs involved = (spinning records on turntables without DJ mixer, no pitch, no tempo controls!) My records spinning journey started before first DJ mixer became available in mid 80's! Solid mix mastered using Cloud Bounce Desktop App www.cloudbounce.com Some audible glitches generated, originated from 1993 digitally captured tracks are unfixable and expected in the mix! It was rumored that invited guests including Donald Byrd on trumpet, Joe Farrell on tenor sax, Fred Wesley on trombone, Herbie Hancock on second keyboard, Billy Cobham on second drum-sets, Al Green lead male vocal, Nina Simone lead female vocal and Hot Buttered Soul Unlimited background vocal in addition to this live session! Shit didn't happen as venue promoters were low on cash plus potential legal challenges amongst records labels...etc, it would have been a f**king awesome session! 😉

Besides all, bouncers said I was little too young to be inside the club & you know the rest of the story! To top it off, Mum said Jazz Funk was accountable for my Vodka, Lucky Strike non-filter cigarettes consumption and the use of made in U.S.A Zippo cigarettes lighter at my early age! 😉

Early 2013, severely struck by "nerve disorder syndrome" I could no longer spin records with one hand while the other constantly in sleep mode! Almost gave up DJing until Serato DJ initially introduced to me by our young dj friend whom I met offline. Thanks to DJ Szabo & thanks to Serato DJ! One handed DJing is possible! Although, both hands are essentially needed for knobs, buttons...etc, on controller/mixing console!

Behind trance scene: Spring 2008, deeply depressed due to a tragic death of a good friend & decided to take my qualified street race car for a joy ride! Coin flipped for decision on heading north or south...? So, I went south & kept on driving regardless where I was going! Encountered heavy traffic congestion outside of San Francisco Bay Area, route changed & I was on U.S Hwy 101 south bound driving along the beautiful scenic Pacific coastal area & eventually ended up in Santa Barbara known for another world famous wine country & home of low keyed celebs including Paul Walker. After a quick winery sights seeing tour, needed a break from driving. Stopped, parked in a busy shopping parking lot & quickly noticed a cheering crowds full of youngsters with their street race cars lined up! Couldn't deal with the loud noises from those cars & their drivers...etc. I drove off. While waiting for traffic clearance to get back on main street, saw Paul Walker drove in on his personal street race car! It was the best time of my miserable life when Paul Walker noticed my car & gave it a thumb up! Wow! What a day as I told myself! Although we never met face to face but from distance, close enough for me to see him. Paul Walker was cool & humble as seen through his eyes! That was all I could remember about this brief memory of Paul Walker! Didn't know where Paul Walker was going after that but for me, I still had a long way heading back to northern California or perhaps an endless spiritual journey to continue on!

About this goa trance mix: After the first rough draft (Paul Walker In Hot Pursue), I realized that one or two tracks missed out from that compilation. Per my request, Sean Tonning once again, took on this project & successfully completed it! It was a difficult task with load of brainstorming!

All that mean the world to me!

(Somewhere in time, I found myself at an upscale indoor mall Opera House with an elegant Opera chamber built-in! My usual DJ deck setup on stage and was ready to turn opera house into rave festival! Disruptively, my beloved Antonín Dvořák said I gotta keep my cool! I guess he meant this planet is already full of world #1 DJs and we can't afford having another one! Centuries have passed by and till this day, I still don't get WTF did he mean! 😉 Can't take anything seriously including the highly anticipated world renowned Plandemic) 😉

After years of listening to mixed cds commercially released by mainstream labels, extremely disappointed, frustrated with how those mixes were built! Mainstream labels often promote what they're trying to sell rather than promoting the artists, their real talents & skills! Finally, I started my own small scale mixing production with countless vinyls mixed compilations produced in between 1999 to 2005 based on the principle of "quality and not quantity"! All those mixes previously produced mainly for my music reference & unconditionally shared them with those who truly love the music and not the hype! Thousands of demo mixed CDs handed out to clubbers, trance enthusiasts locally offline and via underground files sharing networks prior SoundCloud debuted in 2008! Despite any disagreement I might have with SoundCloud about their policy, I am grateful to be part of this community & humbly honored to be with all of you as your friend, fan & supporter! Certainly, I am not here to become world number one dj/producer! Little too old and too busy for that anyway! 😉

Several different versions of my upcoming trance mixes have been played in my head for a while...etc, Like Antonin Dvorák & any other composers I've loved & inspired by, I can't work unless I'm inspired! Not too long ago sometime in 1996, geographically lost in the city of San Francisco due to its most confusing traffic, street signs which required a 4 years college education to understand & distraction caused by motorists passionately rushed through busy intersections full of pedestrians with "So many pedestrians, so little time" bumper stickers on their cars! Mysteriously ended up in the “Haight-Ashbury” a district in San Francisco. The neighborhood is globally known for its history of, and being the origin of hippie subculture! F**k me! I'm home!😉 Strolled through the area on foot & heard some awesome electronic music played at a small, locally, family owned underground records store! Inquiry made and “Ambient Dub” introduced to me that day! Since then, my “Ambient Dub” repertoire has been solidly established, rapidly expanded and I’d like to share it with all my friends here on Soundcloud globally! Not only a Jazz, Classical music enthusiast, wine connoisseur, home gourmet chef, world #1 DJ 😉 Lol...etc, I'm also a critical audiophile and recording, mastering quality are extremely important to me! It's called "selective hearing") 😉 Few years ago, after having listened to several releases, extremely frustrated with the previous mastering quality so, I decided to take on this remastering project with assistance kindly offered by one of my critical audiophile mates who worked at near by mastering facility as an audio mastering engineer & in fact I believe he is one of the best audio mastering engineers I have ever known! We have been devastated, sad for not knowing what really happened to our cats! We love and miss her so much! But life goes on & so should we! As I keep digging deeper into my trance repertoire, so many great sounding tunes found and debated, carefully debated as part of my meticulous taste in trance! I'd rather not to post a trance mix when it doesn't sound as good as it should! Therefore, I'm still taking my time to meticulously select tunes I'd like to include in my upcoming mix! Building a trance mix has never been easy! In trance, it's not about the destination but it's all about the journey! If that journey is not found in my trance mix, then it won't come to life! I strongly believe in quality and not quantity! DJing, mixing are like cooking! Can't cook when knowing someone is hungry waiting for foods! Can't cook while I'm hungry! Can't cook when I'm raged or mad! Cooking is an art and it should be peaceful, therapeutic and artistic!
