@Tigerbalm is a British female music maker. Her music production is a kaleidoscope of global music flavours; ranging from deep tribal sounds to disco-driven dance floor grooves. She combines electronic elements and organic instrumentation, stemming at large from African, Latin American & Brazilian music. 

She released her Ello Koko single with Leng Records & Jungle Pleasure EP with The Disco Express from 2020-2021. This year paves the way for Rose's debut album, ‘International Love Affair.’ The album boasts two singles both on vinyl called Kete & Waiheke with remixes from Alma Negra, Demi Riquisimo, Mang Dynasty, Max Essa & Massimo Lamagna. 

Her debut album celebrating International sounds and world dance music. featuring a cocktail of Brazilian Disco, Balinese House, Afro House & NuDisco/ House tracks that reflect her travel experience in Bali, Auckland, Berlin & Brazil. Her follow up Remixes LP will be out April 2023 featuring additional remixes from Session Victim, Daniele Baldelli, Trepando, Emperor Machine, Chico Mann, Mystic Jungle & The Mushrooms Project. May 2023 is the release of her much awaited EP with NYC label 'Razor n Tape.' 

Her DJ sets and vinyl collection celebrate movement inspiring dance music & international sounds from across the globe;  enjoy a cultural journey through sunny sounds, tropical beats, organic house, afro house, rare and classic disco, nudisco, and deep house. To date Rose’s releases has received wide spread support from Radio 1, WWFM, NTS, Rinse FM, SWU FM, Lot Radio, Ibiza Sonica with radio plays from the likes of Colleen Cosmo Murphy, Bill Brewster, Crazy P, Dicky Trisco & Jaguar.

What's shakin' funky people?! We are back with Volume 201 of the series and we are proud to present a veteran of the Los Angeles house scene, DJ Suave!

Dj Suave is a 37 year veteran dj from Los Angeles with no signs of slowing down. He started djing in 1985 and was heavily influenced by the mix masters on 1580 KDAY ( L.A.'s first Hip Hop station )  which included djs from The World Class Wreckin Crew & Jamin Gemini.

 

He was introduced to House music in 1987 by a friend that had a mix tape by the Legendary New York Dj Larry Levan. Since that day Dj Suave fell in love with House music and has never looked back!

Hailing from West Covina, ( a suburb of Los Angeles ) Dj Suave noticeably stood out from the rest of his dj peers through out the S.G.V. & I.E ( counties of the greater Los Angeles area ). Due to his Underground education, while all the other djs were playing “Hard House” & Top 40, Dj Suave stayed true to himself and kept on pushing Underground House music. And that caught the attention of radio host from Power 106  Richard Vission. Dj Suave was asked to be a regular on Powertools, ( a mix show on Power 106 ) making him not the first dj to play underground Deep House, but he was the first regular dj on Powertools to play Deep Underground House Music. Suave was a regular on Powertools from 1994 – 2007.

Dj Suave is one of the most versatile djs around. From Latin, Funk, Afro-Beat, Disco, Latin Jazz, Bosa, D&B, Soul, Deep House, House, Tech House & Techno. With over 17K records, Dj Suave still plays vinyl as much as he can. Producing the “Estereo” parties, which featured an all vinyl classic house night.

DJ Trinitron’s passion for electronic music began in the early 1990’s. She was lucky enough to be able to listen to C89.5, which to this day, plays electronic beats. While attending Seattle University she was also able to experience the underground rave movement. But her true love for Chicago style house came from nights at Flammable at ReBar. Slowly the tech and booty house influence crept in to Seattle and DJ Trinitron found another love.
The fateful DJ night occurred at an after hours when a friend looked at her and said “you love music too much. Get on these turntables and figure it out”. She did, and a few months later bought her first set of equipment. She’s spun at multiple nights around Seattle and took it international during her time in Iraq. 

Nominated for Best Female DJ 2013, 2014 & 2015 Seattle Nightlife Awards: Trinitron has DJ'd all over Seattle: Q, ReBar, Monkey Loft, Kremwerk, Last Supper Club, SeeSound, Corbu, LoFi, Electric Tea Garden, Chapel, The Big Building.... and beyond Seattle-Prague, San Francisco, Las Angeles,Portland, Lake Tahoe, Bellingham and a sweet weekly night internationally in Iraq! She has also appeared on the ITV Live internet broadcast, The Vortex on C89.5, and KEXP
