 Welcome to the 3rd episode of 2024 for the PsynOpticz Psychedelic Podcast featuring WICKED WIZARD from Australia. Our latest addition to the family and is this short time he has already blasted at Australia's major festival, Esoteric! Wicked Wizard is a Psychedelic Trance DJ Project that was first embraced in the 2020 World Pandemic. A chance to get creative and explore a lifetime passion of musical expression in combination with a psychedelic state of mind. Forever a Student and Master at the same time, he has evolved from his decade of lifestyle as an old school Hip-Hop Lyricist, doing jams & cyphers, to a Psy-Trance DJ and already making some interesting waves of psychedelic ocean in the festival community controlling the dancefloors such as Esoteric Festival, Yatra Festival, Orin Aya Festival, Ergot Gathering, Mithya Music Prod Gigs, Psy-Co Prod Gigs and various other small shindigs and have been on the sound roster with some heavyweights in global psytrance community.

Creating an intellectually engaging d’floor for the people and taking them through a journey of fresh psychedelic sounds ranging between funky bubbly mood to serious sonic business.
He has a diversity in the vision of his sound where he orchestrates the dance floors like a Wizard does. He puts a conscious perspective behind his sets that resonates with psychedelic heads in the crowd, smiles and head nods, he’s sure to shake the dance floor and do justice to it.
Dynamic with the sound selection, Every set tailored to tingle the mind and body. Curating the dancefloor experience based on the hour of the day or night bringing in the perspective of light, time and space with the sound.

Slotted between any two weapons in the scene and he can make sure the sound flows just right from taking over to handing over delivering an experience that will leave you in a state of radical love.

MoDem Festival‬ in Croatia is widely considered one of the best, and most important, festivals on the psytrance calendar. It’s influence on the festival scene cannot be understated. When I started making this music, I promised myself that, before I was 30, I wanted to play on the Hive stage. Well, 5 days before my 30th birthday, I had the honour of doing just that. It did not disappoint, and it was the best dancefloor I have ever had the privilege of experiencing.

I decided early on that this was where I was going to debut my new album (forthcoming soon on Bom Shanka Music) and record the entire set. So, here it is – the full video of my set on Thursday 8th August 13:30-15:00 on the Hive.

Thank you to everyone that danced, everyone that filmed and everyone that gave me emotional support in the stress of finishing the tracks before the gig! A huge thank you to Valentino Vert3x,  Tomislav, Mike, Val, Bom Shanka Music, Wildthings Records crew and everyone that made my week the best ever!

But... I'm back! With a brand new set, recorded live at the mighty Origin Festival in South Africa.

Origin Festival is a beast a 21 years old mother ship of psychedelic culture.
 I’ve only felt this  kind of magic at Ozora, Boom, and Own Spirit. 
OMG It truly happened there!

Big shoutout to Regan & Monique for bringing me in, and massive thanks to the entire crew who made my stay unforgettable Hendrick, Cara, Josh, Miky Dread, and all the others (sorry if I forgot some names! :(  ).
And a very  Special praise to my friends Sam & Geof, my guides through this incredible African journey.
