Uberzone aka Timothy Wiles is an American born DJ/Producer who has been an avid maker of electronic music since the mid 1990's where he spent some time playing in the first early rave scene. He released his first album "Ideology" in 2007 to fantastic reviews and toured extensively with such acts as The Crystal Method. This mix was recorded LIVE in 2001 somewhere in Brooklyn New York, still a great LIVE mix till this day and holds the test of time.

If anyone wants to try and track down the track listing and post it be my guest because I can't remember most of the tracks anymore...It does start with Monsoon - Africa. Who knows if this will get taken down so enjoy!

Progressive Breaks Mixtape '97

As part of our up coming 'Ten' project (which celebrates ten years of MC Shureshock and I having worked together) we are digging through the digital crates to find a bunch of old mixes we have done. This first one is a personal fave of mine. It's a mix I did for a magazine called 'Remix' in 2000 and was one of the first 'official' mixes I ever did. It may be from 2000, and it may now be 10 years old, but damn the beats still sound fresh! Oh and this was pre-Ableton days! i.e. it was done by mixing records together on two Technics turntables and a mixer (via pasting a hundred million takes together mind you!). Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland was pretty much there at the beginning of the Nu Skool Breaks genre. This mix from 1999 was a kick start of the scene as we know it today for Breaks. Adam had a regular slot on UK's KISS FM with his ground breaking breakbeat show mixing (all in vinyl) a collection of artists that paved the way for a very loved genre at that time.
