Goa Gil tem uma rica história psicodélica!!!

Gil cresceu no meio da cena musical de São Francisco dos anos 60 e depois deixou São Francisco para viajar para a Índia em setembro de 1969. Tendo sido músico durante toda a vida e depois praticando intensas práticas de Yoga com Gurus no Himalaia, ele tentei unir os dois, Música e Yoga, em Um Espírito condizente com esta Era.

O resultado foi a Casa da Música, as festas da Lua Cheia de Goa e o seu conceito de “Redefinir o Antigo Ritual Tribal para o Século XXI”. Seu foco está em usar a situação da festa como meio para elevar a consciência dos participantes através da Trance Dance Experience.

Ele diz:
“Desde o início dos tempos, a humanidade tem usado a música e a dança para comungar com o Espírito da Natureza e o Espírito do Universo… Estamos usando a Música Trance e a Experiência da Dança Trance
para desencadear uma reação em cadeia na Consciência…”

“Através da Experiência Trance Dance, esperamos que as pessoas se tornem mais sensíveis e conscientes de si mesmas, do seu entorno, da encruzilhada da humanidade e das necessidades do planeta... com esta Consciência vem a Compreensão e a Compaixão... ESSA é a necessidade do momento, e o verdadeiro estado de espírito de Goa !!!”

Conheceu Ariane em Goa em 1985. Desde então, têm estado juntos constantemente. O grande interesse de Ariane pela percussão djembe africana e pela dança e música tradicional da África Ocidental também teve uma grande influência no desenvolvimento e direção dos gostos e conceitos musicais de Gil.

O projeto musical atual de Gil & Ariane é “The Nommos”, o projeto solo etnoambientchill de Ariane é “Nimba”, e o objetivo de ambos os projetos é combinar a psicodelia futurista com os ritmos antigos, a música e o espírito das culturas tradicionais.
