Unsere Nr. 230 kommt heute von einem Berliner Künstler welcher mir das erste Mal mit seinem Podcast für https://soundcloud.com/elektro-uwe aufgefallen ist. Sein Sound ist zum einen träumerisch und melodisch, aber auch druckvoll und deep zugleich. Die goldene Mitte zu finden gelingt ihm immer. Nicht nur in seinen Podcasts, sondern auch in seinen unzähligen Live-Aufnahmen.

Die Rede ist von Niemand & Keiner der mit seinem groovigen, melodischen und hypnotischen Sound immer wieder für eine Überraschung gut ist. Dazu aber später mehr. Zudem ist er Teils des Berliner Kollektivs ‚Rummels Musikanten – Rummels Bucht‘ und Mitveranstalter bei https://soundcloud.com/schiffbruch-berlin und dem ‚Animal Farm Festivals‘ (https://www.facebook.com/animalfarmfestival). 

Sein für uns aufgenommenes Set hat mich anfangs tatsächlich vollkommen überrascht. Das Tempo ist nämlich deutlich niedriger als ich es von Thomas eigentlich kannte, schiebt aber dennoch in von ihm bekannter Art gekonnt an. Generell ist der Anfang des Podcasts phänomenal. Hier treffen nämlich hypnotische, melodiöse und groovige Soundelemente aufeinander und verbinden sich mit cineastischen Stimmsamples zu einem extraterrestrischen Erlebnis. Im weiteren Verlauf eröffnet er dem Hörer sein eingangs beschriebenes Soundverständnis und wechselt konsistent zwischen Spannung und Entspannung ab. Trotz des reduzierten Tempi grooven die Tracks immer noch und entfalten erst eine tiefenerweiternde Wirkung. Hier ein Clap, da eine verschrobene Acidline, da ein Stimmsample….ja das passt. Und dies über 91 Minuten. Definitiv eine Klasse Interpretation seiner Afterhour.

Schnallt euch an… Ich kann mich nur wiederholen, aber es erwartet euch eine Reise, die wie gemacht für eine Afterhour ist. Keine Phrase, keine Fake-News, sondern ehrliche Worte eines musikverliebten Spessarters.

Ich danke dir vielmals Thomas für dieses besondere Set. Umwerfend tiefenergreifend und erfrischend gut. Chapeu.

Anbei noch seine Stellungnahme zu unseren Fragen:

▱ Was sind deine musikalischen Einflüsse? Was ist dein musikalischer Hintergrund?
Als Kind der 80er und die Jungend verbracht in den 90ern, sind meine musikalischen Einflüsse durchlebt von Punk, Reggae, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, 90er Techno. Meine große musikalische Leidenschaft war aber Drum & Bass und Breakbeat – damit habe ich auch begonnen aufzulegen und Musik zu machen. Ich habe es geliebt in dunklen Kellern von Industriegebäuden zu diese zu tanzen und aufzulegen. Später kam auch ein D&B Bandprojekt zu Stande. Mit einer Crew aus Leipzig, Dresden und Chemnitz haben wir auch die ersten Jahre den D&B Floor auf der Fusion in den 90ern unterstützt und aufgebaut. Jetzt werde ich gleich sentimental und muss mal meine alten D&B Scheiben wieder raus holen :-D

▱Was macht deiner Meinung nach eine gute Afterhour aus?
Für mich macht eine gute Afterhour aus, diese mit leiben und großartigen Menschen zu verbringen, wo man sich fallen lassen kann und (insofern noch möglich) ein guter Austausch stattfindet. Weiterhin natürlich auch noch wichtig, die Stimmung und gute Musik. Wo oft die Meinungen in solch einer Runde auseinander gehen.
Eine gute Afterhour ist eigentlich wieder viel zu lange her :(
