A consistent outlet for drum and bass since its conception in 1992, at RAM we have a huge discography which is still being added to today. As a result, it only seemed right to look back at some of our most monumental and ground-breaking releases from the last few decades.

Every Thursday, we’ll be featuring a throwback track from our collection, so you can reawaken your inner junglist and transport yourself back to the first time you heard it dropped as we #RamRewind. 

But it’s not just the music which has kept us on the genre’s forefront. Our fans have helped support RAM from its very beginnings, especially at live events. Alongside track throwbacks we’ll be posting pictures from renowned venues like the End which played a huge role in our historical heritage.

Between 1991 and 1995, Hardkiss Music released seven 12" vinyl singles.  The album Delusions of Grandeur, featuring the best of those cuts, was released in 1995.

Delusions was released on vinyl, cassette and CD and quickly sold out and became out of print classic.  Many fans credit Delusions of Grandeur as the album that turned them onto electronic music, EDM or whatever you prefer to call it.

Now, thanks to the support of our fans, we're making the album available for digital download for the first time.

We'd like to thank the entire Hardkiss and Hallucination families for endless support and inspiration.

Episode 361 brings us a mix from Drone, who is reppin the state of California for Volume 4 of our Stateside Series!!

Drone’s mix starts off wicked and easy before dropping into an amen, ragga, tune! The mix then explores some deep, heavy rollers before shifting back into amens and flipping back to those deadly, deep rollers! The last half of the mix queues up some liquid funk biz, a soulful amen track, and an absolute amen punisher! A grip of unreleased tunes in the mix along with a good amount of Stateside producers! Drone put together a really special mix to represent Cali!

Let's meet our selektah, Drone:

Dj Drone is a bonafide jungle / drum & bass veteran in the city of Los Angeles. Member of the infamous JUNGLIST PLATOON (est. 1994) and RESPECT DNB (est. 1999) organizations.

1996 was his first major exposure to “rave” culture and thus spawned his intrigue with jungle. LA acts such as R.A.W, CRS?, Deacon, E-Sassin and of course Junglist Platoon were his major inspiration. By 2003 his idols were now friends and Drone found himself in the midst of LA’s d&b elite securing a residency at Respect and continuing to play for every major Southern California d&b promoter.

2013 saw his first indie release via stateside imprint - Bell Ringer Records. In 2016 he launched his “Friday Night Flavaz” show on dnbradio which he still enjoys to this very day.
