For an unknown reason, the Hotbox was absent from our radar systems for some time but we are relieved that it has given us new signs of life. To kick-off our Hot Series’ return, a rather vicious yet cheerful pilot will take the reins for our next foray into the Hotbox universe. Violently Happy (@djviolentlyhappy) is our next guest. Still shaping his sound, the Antwerp native found a connection to music through the flourishing queer community in the city. Drawing inspiration from artists like Eris Drew & Octo Octa, he always tries to evoke joyful emotions, while packing a serious punch in the process.

As the name suggests, prepare yourself for menacing beats with uplifting melodies. Steamy and sexy is what comes to mind when he thinks about Hotbox; and that’s exactly what you’re going to get. For over an hour, Violently Happy takes you on a high-energy trip leaving you with a big smile on your face. We can’t wait for what’s to come.
