Fresh out on ‘Gorilla Warfare’ is “Flex Effect’s” EP, ‘Run The Dance’. 

After gaining years of experience behind the decks under a different alias, Flex effect from southwest UK decided to rebrand himself in 2022 to showcase his production skills. His take on high energy jungle/DnB has earned him a place on the scene as one to look out for. And, with a stack of new tracks all ready for release, this certainly won’t be the last time we see his name on the gorilla warfare label. 

Track 1 – “Run the Dance” has space industrial written all over it. Dark subs, distorted synths and space risers combined with a nice use of samples and FX’s make this the ideal first track to really get you moving. 

Track 2 – ‘Crash Course’ is high energy skank at its best. Fast and grimy with sharp subs, this track is going to be a clear favourite. 

Get Hood is the 3rd track on the EP. The start has a real sinister feel to it. The clear sound of toppers push through the frantic subs and FX’s, while the beat fells like its erratic but isn’t. This is a well-placed track. 

Finally, we have ‘Move’. Warbling synths, loads of attack, great samples and FX’s. this is a fantastic last track to an amazing alternative EP.

Kartoons is thrilled to announce the 'Kung Fu' Remix EP, dropping on 27th September 2024. This release features remixes from DJ Profile, K Jah, Papa Gee, and Gravit-E, providing fresh takes on the original tracks by Benny V and DJ Uniques, with Aboudy and Supersuit.

DJ Profile's VIP remix of 'Kung Fu' retains the original's fun-loving baselines and snappy breakbeats, adding a new lead melody and nostalgic arcade FX.

K Jah's remix of 'Tru Londoner' features rolling breaks and a singalong low end, evoking early 2000s vibes.

Papa Gee's remix of 'Fake News' intensifies the track with his signature touch and added groove.

Gravit-E's remix of 'Kung Fu' closes the EP with powerful baselines and intricate beat patterns.
