Very little can be written about our Astra Club Sunrise Set at Robot Heart during the Link with The Mayan Warrior.

Very little can be written… because of how much of it needed to be felt and lived.

After an almost 3 years of waiting to to return home; 3 years full of rollercoasters of emotions and challenges; we knew this moment captured on our set, would mark us for the years to come and we hope for those who were there and those at home now, are able to be taken by the music, the lights, the energy of the Desert and to once again be reassured that a Sunrise can never defeat the Night…. and that just like that “the dust of the stars” shaken by the Astra Club music dropped some magic on you.

Thank you @robotheartfoundation @burningmanproject for letting @carlita_music and I speak our language in the desert while the sun rose… And thank you to everybody who shared this moment with us. Otherworldly can’t even begin to describe this moment.

Defected Ibiza 2023- Summer House Mix (Deep, Tech, Vocal, Chilled) ☀️🏝🌊

It was one for the books! Flooded with up’s and downs. 

This was the oldest man in the history of Burning Man I believe; with extra days on the Playa we all got a little wiser.  It was wonderful to see people come together and weather the storms. 

Big thanks to my Robot Heart camp for making this after the rain party happen. Much love to everyone who came out to celebrate with us.

I had the chance to meet the Robot Heart crew twelve years ago in NYC for a giant Halloween party where I played on the ‘copy bus’. 

That was a life changing moment somehow. I realized my music could be the soundtrack for a world that’s beyond our imagination, far from my Paris studio.

In 2023, I come full circle by performing at Burning Man for the very first time with my partner Liset Alea. 

This Thursday sunset set was a moment we’ll savour for years to come.

In this live recording you’ll hear: Liset singing 30 feet above the ground from inside the blinking heart, the voices of multiple colorful creatures dancing all around us, the massive Know Audio custom sound system rumbling under our feet, the laughter of unicorns, dragons and shamans… and if you really listen carefully you might even hear the buzz of a billion stars shimmering above our head.

Memories of Robot Heart founder Geo carried us along the set. His legacy will live forever.

Thank you Robot Heart for your commitment to music, love and Burning Man.

It's been awhile since the last time I recorded a set.
Regardless, my heart is pierced with music, so it will never go away.
Still a bit rusty, but the quality of the transitions get better as the mix plays along.

This mix was recorded 4 weeks into the lockdown in Dublin, Ireland. No better way to spend my time locked in at home than playing music.
The whole mix tells a story of personal evolution, something we all go through in life. There are ups and downs, and along the way we keep on finding ourselves over and over again.

Tracks range mostly from a selection of Progressive House and Techno. Lots of melodic tracks, and with plenty of vocals. I find the mix very uplifting and always with a strong groove drive, it just makes me want to dance whenever I listen to it.

There's a surprise hidden message at the end of the mix, which is also a part of it. Whether or not you believe in the message, I think it is still very valid for every human being. Especially in the current times we're living with this worldwide Coronavirus crisis. The message is long, but please take some time aside to listen to it when you can, and open your heart to it. It first came to me about 4 years ago, and I just thought about it again while preparing the mix. It was no accident as it completed the whole process. There's no harm or politics or ego in the message, it is peaceful. Give it a chance and if it resonates with you pass it along to your friends and family.
