DJ Waxx, Melbourne based Techno producer Marko Mijac is of Slovak and Croatian descent and his upcoming album is influenced by the Croatian War of Independence and the Techno scene that came from that. From Croatia's first rave in 1993 inside the Grič Tunnel, Zagreb to later Optor! anti-war rave parties, a Serbian student led organisation that formed in Serbia, 1998, many artists grew from the scene and some still perform today such as Petar Dundov and Umek who a couple major influences in the production of the record.
