It's an honor for us to introduce you to one of the artists that has influenced us the most since we started our story back in 2015. I still remember listening to the first edits that Mori-Ra posted on his soundcloud page and since then, here at MM Discos we've always had an eye on every single thingthat he has put on the streets.
Obsessed digger and one of Japan's most esteemed collectors, Osaka's based dj Mori Ra must be one of the most determinate artists on the scene. His Vast knowledge of local and international music has developed his wide ranging style. An artist that flees from fashions, vinyl lover and a true tastemaker. Eclecticism is probably the word that it could define him better; Disco, Balearic, New Age, New Wave, Jazz, Rock, Experimental and everything in between should be expected on his sets and edits, blending all this genres and breaking all the rules in order to keep the dancers and music lovers on their toes and grooving. Mori Ra's MM Discos 13 is the result of the continuous and relentless exploration for years of thousands of (almost) forgotten records, regardless of genre and author. A work not suitable for all tastes, unclassifiable and highly addictive.

His name was Guido Balboa.

From there, Romain FX, after having camped his studio at this Italian’s home for a couple of years in Hong Kong, had an epiphany. 

He made a track using this genius tagline on Boots & Legs from Australia and wanted to take this phrase even further. And so this compilation was born. 

Scouting unknown and more known talents, Romain would put together a compilation full of cheesy goodness for dance-floors-ready tunes right in time for open-airs this summer of 21 after a long danceless year. For the first volume, A-team guests were asked to partake in the adventure, we have Bijou, Franz Scala, Alberto Melloni, Doctor, Berny, Daniele Monaco, and Romain FX.

A-Side Breaks Vol. 4 continues the journey — a crate of raw, unfiltered drum science crafted for dancers, DJs, and rhythm junkies who know exactly what that perfect break can do to a room.
This volume digs deeper into the DNA of the breakbeat. No nostalgia cosplay, no over-polished gloss — just straight, functional grooves built for cyphers, rehearsals, block parties, and those moments when you need the beat to speak louder than words.

Vol. 4 stretches across moods: dusty funk hits, minimalist percussion workouts, tension-builders for battles, and pocket-heavy loops for flow sessions. Each break is produced with intention — to move bodies, spark creativity, and reconnect dancers to the essence of why we listen in the first place.

For DJs, these are mix-ready. For B-boys and B-girls, they're footwork fuel. For producers, they’re sample-able foundations.
It’s another chapter in a growing archive of rhythm tools — built from the ground up, no shortcuts, no templates.
