Mit ihren Wurzeln im Funk, House und Disco hat sie einen Sound geschaffen, der sich durch Techno, Bass-Musik und Club-Edits erweitert. Ihre Sets setzen sich für eine grenzenlose Soundlandschaft ein, die Menschen auf die Tanzfläche bringt.

For our last "Mixed Feelings" show for 2024 we  are happy welcome faceblindbabe, a Berlin based DJ and event curator.

Embark on a sonic adventure with faceblindbabe, the French DJ known for her energetic sets who's been igniting Berlin's scene for less than a year. Her artist name is a nod to her condition, prosopagnosia, which makes it difficult for her to recognize faces.

With her ear for the hottest beats and a few surprises thrown in, faceblindbabe's sound is sure to keep you guessing!

Being very active in the Berlin underground scene, faceblindbabe is also involved with record label and party series WARNING, and curates her own series of pop-up events highlife/lowbudget, showcasing local DJs, fashion designers and various other creatives. She is also a member of the collective Gelegenheiten that runs a self-organized bar and cultural space in Berlin Neukölln.

I had so many ideas for this mix and I think that from the moment, when I started to think about it until I’ve finally recorded it, I went through at least 10 different concepts. I’ve finally decided to record a short breakbeat mix, cause this is the music that helped me survive the pandemic. From gabber and hardcore I’ve finally discovered oldschool breakbeat / hardcore and have been hooked since then. I rarely have a chance to play breaks at the club, so here you go. This is just a small taste from my messy collection.
