Why you gotta be like that

DK was born and raised in the deep South East London, England. His production skills weren't seen until his late teen years, but he began writing lyrics at the young age of six, rapping gospel hip-hop in his local church with his older brothers. The group quickly became popular in the local gospel circuit. By the time he hit high school, the young musician had played in numerous churches across London. In his teen years, he centered his focus on music all the more. 

It wasn't long before other young people began to view him as a voice of their frustrations; one journalist even referred to him as the "mouth of the south". Survival has always been his basic instinct, and DK always did what he had to do to eat. As he grew up and life changed, so did his music. He no longer related to the concepts he used to sing about, while poverty and never-ending conflict in his community fueled a frustration that has defined his sound to this day. 

DK left London for Canada in 2007. In Kingston, he performed several shows in the city bars and nightclubs as well as recording on a couple of local mix-tapes. The young rapper has also lived in downtown Montreal and now resides in Hamilton, where he continues to work the bar/club circuit with JFKarismatik and Revenue of Pure Fokus Entertainment. 2010 saw DK hook up with one of Hamilton’s top producers; Purefire, a well-experienced production wizard who co-produced “Groove Thing” taking it to another level. 

His South-London accent, quick-hitting flow and bold, lyrical messages are only part of the mix that makes him unstoppable. The Hellraizer is now working on lyrics, recording, and promotion for his upcoming solo album, entitled "The Possession"... WATCH THIS SPACE!!!
