The EP launches with Mascotte. The perfect introduction to our label and how we do things.  It’s a straight up genre defying club banger. Combining the flamboyance inspired by the finest in southern rap music with the sounds and energy of modern UK and Juke music, it’s completely unique, raw and energetic. It is our anthem! From the streets of Atlanta to the gutters of Brussels, all we do is FLY, all we do is Pelican Fly!

Mascotte gets the remix treatment from Dj Hilti and Mr. Tweeks.

Dj Hilti, who we suspect of borrowing his name from the all mighty HILTI destruction machines, which would be very representative of his musical approach as his mix will completely drill through every dancefloor. Challenging our notions of a banger, his attention deficit disorder styled Juke throws everything into one big MPC whirlwind.

Mister Tweeks makes his remix even more grimey and raw then the original, drawing on his experience producing for Belgian rappers under the name Pipolation. This remix is also a great introduction to an artist who will see a future release on the label as well as being a member to the Pelican Fly family. This remix is not for the faint hearted !!!

Bendin’ is our love declaration to riddims. A tune designed for the pitch black dancefloors as a unique breath-filled venture into a world of strange percussions and spasmic drops. It was influenced by some of the latest dancehall burners as well as by recent bass oriented minimal styled club bangers.

Jay weed & LOL Boys both bring their unique flavours to the mix with their remixes of Bendin'.

French bad man Jay Weed takes you down the rabbit hole with his discrete but deadly subs and moody vibes. Jay certainly honors his moniker with this smoke filled journey through rhythm & space, we are also obsessed with his trademark chill-inducing breakdown and amazing sound design.

Los Angeles/Montreal, internet loving duo, LOL Boys create a remix embracing the darkest parts of the track and propelling it into a 9-minute long techno odyssey. A mix that channels Carl Craig and John Carpenter at the same time. This epic marathon remix immediately became a late night favorite for us !!

I wish there was a way to tell the story of this song's creation without losing myself.  I just love the world it is and don't really have anything to say... yet.
