Lacuna delves into deeper and darker territory with another split EP from two upcoming producers carving out their own niche in the bass music landscape. Following 2023 releases on Left, Right & Centre and Nostro Hood System respectively, Small Crab and Elpac join forces on Lacuna to deliver four no-nonsense, club-ready, low-end tracks.

Dublin-based Small Crab opens the dialogue with the ferocious ‘Venom’, a hard-hitting 100 bpm rhythm which builds patiently before unleashing an infectious frenzy. She further develops her low-end explorations with ‘Snake Bite’, which rides an electrifying drum beat with a stinging impact.

Elpac responds with distinctive Bristolian experimentation, firstly with ‘Patrolling’ which hinges along a cavernous and sparse beat, intertwined with clever vocal sampling. He then completes the split EP with ‘SL25 (Crank Mix)’, which journeys along sirens and trumpets before slipping into a dancehall infused madness.

norim (@norimlog) has established himself as a key artist in understanding the vibrant underground electronic scene in Valencia. Co-founder of Ecco Records, DJ, and producer, he has created his own sonic universe, rooted in turntablism and soundsystem culture, enriched by contemporary influences spanning genres such as dub, bass, breaks, and techno. This diverse approach has allowed him to develop a unique fusion of sonic experimentation, deep grooves, hypnotic compositions, all while keeping the essential rhythms of the club.
"Rizoma" showcases Norim's versatility and his constant drive to explore new sonic trends. This single reflects his latest production, where he blends elements of electro, breakbeat, and dub, achieving a refined yet raw sound design, crafted for the dancefloor.
