Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community:
The lesson I keep learning over and over, is to be patient and stay true to what excites and inspires you.  That is your North Star, and all that matters.  Also, there are no shortcuts!  Rushing the process, comparing yourself to others or expecting to keep a certain timeline will only dull your unique sparkle.

About the mix: This mix is actually the first 2 hours taken from a 3 hour set I played at Sisyphos in mid June.  My set time was 5-8am, and I was extra revv'd as I love nothing more than a wake and rave.  The sun was rising, and I think this new morning light holds so much hope and excitement for the new day ahead.  Plus, I love the cozy Sisyphos cafe, having a hot tea while playing might just be my favorite way to approach a set.  As for sounds, the tracks fit my mood ~ fast, cruisey, not too heavy for the early morning.  Plus few ID's and friends in the mix!

Four years after we featured their guest mix, one of the most played with over 40K plays, the beloved Italian duo Orion is back on our "Delayed with..." series. This time, they're sharing a live set recorded at this year's Paradise City festival.

Saturday's program at the Sweet Spot stage included many of our friends who are usual suspects here at Delayed. It felt like a family gathering... in the rain. Rain can dramatically influence a party's vibe. It often disrupts, ends, or alters the atmosphere, but sometimes, it enhances the energy, creating a unique experience. Fortunately for Orion and everyone at the Sweet Spot stage that Saturday, the rain brought the latter effect. Orion and the crowd were in sync, embracing the "f*ck this rain" attitude. Orion's live set was groovy and deep yet uplifting and energetic. No artist wants rain during their performance, but in this case, it just worked. It was great.

GROOVE Podcast 428 – Mattias El Mansouri

Chinese-German artist @samgoku has a distinctive take on techno that draws on his own Asian heritage and blends it with contemporary electronics. Across two sublime albums for Atomnation and Permanent Vacation, he has infused his fluid rhythms with gorgeous melodies and ambient haze, traditional Eastern instruments and ethereal moods. This summer, he debuted on the Dekmantel label with four tracks of unconventional techno that marry the physical with the emotional in exceptional style.

There are plenty of similar contrasts in this week's mix, which is an almost two-hour dive into his sound world. It is a deep and compelling blend of supple rhythms that are always subtly shifting. His pristine selections take in dubby and cavernous grooves, tripped-out minimal details and stylish techno cuts that always come with plenty of colour and high-definition designs which lend the whole thing a futurist edge but very human soul.
