we’re returning to kune festival today for the third edition in our collaboration where we will be sharing the sets and stories from their fifth edition earlier this year - taking a deeper dive into the scenes, sounds and style of the festival.

this week we’re spotlighting another århus gem and safe distro affiliate, alpo. previously working under the alias ‘the interest’, alpo is another one of those artists who unearths the most beautiful gems and binds them together in a way that wraps you within a spell. from twinkling, blissful downtempo and ambient to the subterranean elements of old school drum & bass and the immersive and bubbly energy of tech house and electro - his mixes has it all! and his opening set on the vessel stage is no different. starting the proceedings on an early thursday evening, alpo’s set is a playful workout of the sound and styles that make up the festival. bridging together all of his influences to create the perfect party atmosphere, the set is an exercise in long-form euphoria.

indoor opening set recorded at 1st of august 2025 as part of the the annual celebration at stall basel

the annual gathering on the first of august in suburban basel in a crooked little shed called stall has built over the years a strong tradition around celebration of friendships and dance. what's usually a cosy affair flipped into an euphoric anomaly: rave energy bleeding through the neat seams of swiss tradition.
having the music running since the afternoon, the collective energy already reached a few peaks when nugget finally opened the smaller, more sweaty room indoors

hailing from basel area but based in berlin for over more than a decade, nugget has built in our bubble a high reputation with his borderless and skillfully curated journeys through all the mindbending dance music we love over a long time. here we get another confirmation for the constant evolution we can witness when listening to his dj sets. every appearance reveals a different side to the character of nugget while upholding spherical atmospheres and highlighting the devotion for polyrhythms, tribal elements & compelling vocals.

dive into 2 hours of futuristic, spaced out rollers and bass excursions pairing driving percussion loops with complex blends for interdimensional sonic world building.
