W133 is excited to welcome Tørrid to the label. The emerging Nürnberg-based artist and passionate drummer presents his „Broken Dreams“ EP, showcasing his deep love for percussion and rhythm.

This release marks a shift in his sound, focusing more on experimental and percussive elements. The EP opens with Brain Damage, a mind-bending acid-influenced track, with swirling sounds that twist and weave in unexpected directions. The second track, „Essauira 2“, picks up the percussive groove of the opener, gradually introducing a haunting synth line that adds a sense of eerie tension. „No Puppy“ follows, with its melancholic pads creeping in softly, creating an emotionally rich atmosphere. It takes a slightly slower pace, presenting a rolling, jungle-infused rhythm that transitions into a beautiful sequence of melancholic polyphonic arps. The EP concludes with „Bad Girl“, the fastest and most energetic of the four. It features jazzy, dreamy chords and a dynamic jungle beat, bringing a vibrant finish to the release.

„Broken Dreams“ will be available digitally on August 8th and is accompanied by a photograph by Philipp Roth.

No Signs of Life’ pulses with rebellious rhythms and an energetic, chest-pumping spirit. This track challenges passivity and inspires action through its genre-fluid approach. GLNY keeps listeners on their toes, seamlessly blending UK bass, breaks, electro, and techno. Reflecting on the inhumanity prevalent in modern society, the song carries a positively humanistic message, infused with a primal, animistic ethos that evokes feelings of triumph. London-based producer Slacker lands on Markham Road Records with an exercise in both sample juggling and unrelenting pressure. Got Me Down's trio of waveforms spin the same vocal chop to produce some heavy, club-ready sounds. These three tracks lie on the pacier side of the BPM range, instructing a late-night application of their rhythms.

Leading out with the title track Got Me Down, Slacker pounds the subs harder than a Nona making pesto. Fitting somewhere between hard tech and dubstep, Got Me Down is a roller coaster of ups and downs (but mostly ups) that aims to leave dancers rather eager to stay on the floor.

The EP continues with a call and repeat called You Don’t Care. Developing over various percussive lines and bass swells, the track showcases Slacker’s expertise in sorting, pacing, and delivering THE drums. Just like Pooh Beatz, "He Like The HI Hat God Kinda."

The track also gets a spin courtesy of Europe’s other mega metropolis. Paris-based De Grandi morphs You Don’t Care into a step-friendly bass tech track in his latest remixing endeavor. In this remix, two heavy driving sections are laced together by a rather introverted bridge to allow dancers to regain their footing. As per the rest of the project, the remix maintains elements of the original vocal chop while introducing new percussive and rhythmical accoutrement.
