With his radioshow ‘’Sonic Fiction’’ at local Amsterdam radiostation TNP ( @radiotemponaopara) he focus on non-clubby and dubby sounds and after his b2b with @essets at our Smoke room in Multipla during our birthday weekender we only wanted more. 

The mix is a collection of ambient, spoken word and guitar music with some cowboy vibes sprinkled on top. Check it out!

Forever winding and wandering through a musical eclipse of sounds and styles, not knowing when or where we'll land, searching for heat and heights previously unknown and unfound. Guided by familiarity and nourished by discovery this sonic collage treasures the past alongside a modern future they once sought. 

All reflected on a sequence of titles manifesting as a map through a heatwave of present and possible realities. Stepping in through S.O.N.S's 'Landing On The Unknown' moving through Sleep D's 'Sunrise In The Crater' and into Kuniyuki Takahashi's 'You Should Believe' before finally arriving at a tangible crest of our past inspiring present with Sunju Hargun's unique remix of Björk's Jóga.

Already arrived at the twentieth podcast in the Dekmantel Podcast series, Dusseldorf's Jan Schulte aka Bufiman aka Wolf Muller takes charge. The DJ/Producer brings avant garde electronic music to labels like Themes For Great Cities and Versatile. Next to that, Bufiman is one of the residents and powers behind Dusseldorf's Salon Des Amateurs. The club is one of Europe's few establishments where you can enjoy the niche of electronic music in the right fashion. No DJ-ego's and an adventurous musical program which sound just like our cup of tea. Quentin Vandewalle is probably better known to you as Zaltan. The French DJ is head of the Antinote label; a homebase for many upcoming artists such as Syracuse (catch them on this year’s Lente Kabinet), D.K, Dominique Dumont and Geena. It is the place where horizontal ambient, gently Balearic sounds and nostalgic house all rub up with retro design attached to it. Each EP and LP is a lovingly crafted and memorable affair that will sooth any busy brain or tired soul, and that is the case with his journeying mix for Dekmantel. 

Over the course of an hour, it will ensure you to forget your woes and drift to a sunnier place before getting down to some dancing action. Vocal ditties, dusty breakbeats and crunchy DIY beats get blended and fused into a set that is expertly slow to start, then decidedly direct later on. Listen and learn from a master of balancing beats with blissfulness.
