Here is a new mix I did while travelling to Armenia a couple of weeks ago. 

I did it on my phone in between the waiting room and boarding a plane in Warsaw with the software Djay Pro AI by Algoriddim.

On my phone I have thousands of tracks in high resolution, .aifs files.
 
The mix was recorded in CD quality in the software. 

I did use „sync“ and also some of the „AI crossfades“ to be able to record it flowingly and with all the tempo changes and while showing my boarding pass, literally. 

Even though this is a completely different approach from how I would mix in a club, I did really enjoy doing it this way, it wouldn’t be possible with conventional tools. 

I love music and technology and to try out new ways of recording stuff.

Batumi-born, Berlin-based DJ/Producer Nicole has been instrumental in the evolution of Tbilisi’s role as axis for music and politics. Her earliest ventures in sonic creation saw her attend music school as a child and drum in a band, followed by a pivot into electronic music as half of teenage duo Body Thrills. It was 2018 that she truly emerged solo as a talent to watch on the Georgian scene, with a Boiler Room performance at Bassiani to celebrate its reopening following civilian protests against the government’s shutdown of cultural spaces. And with the threat of authoritarian ideology looming once more, her kind of energy is perhaps more important than ever. Nicole’s sound represents the best of what Georgia has to offer, a free and open enthusiasm for life where creativity reigns and anything is possible. Witty minimal with a generous measure of acid squelches and positive funk, these tunes are a mirror to the dancefloors she plays on. Her strength is in knowing her audience, which strings to pull and when, and that’s just as true of her other work, which now counts promotion duties at Tbilisi space Cafe Gallery and an EP on Marco Shuttle’s Eerie Records. This latest episode carries Tbilisi’s flame forward, a six-hour compilation that brings together her unique perspective as native to the city’s struggle, and her disparate musical references. Bassiani Podcast 275 is a knockout set from a top-notch local talent.

Polonio

Honey Soundsystem is an American creative collective that has become hugely influential in the decade since they formed. As DJs both solo and as a team, the San Fran foursome has more than made its mark with an eclectic sound that draws on the diverse backgrounds of the musicians, performers and designers involved. They also host their own parties—famed for fantastic art installations as well as carefully curated headliners from all across the musical spectrum—and run plenty of labels between them, including HNYTRX and most famously Dark Entries, which has poured many attention on Patrick Cowley with a series of resurrected releases.

Very much setting their own agenda, then, the group does just the same with their two hour mix for us. It is a fresh offering that rolls through a bouncing selection of well polished house and techno. Clean and tinged with a stylish sense of retro-futurism throughout, there are nods to darker synth wave sounds and colourful disco vibes that will keep you coming back for more.
