Stateside producer @Tanodj has thoroughly gripped our ears with his In Armatura label; thus far a home for exclusively his own music, the third release shows no sign of a dip in quality, with five slices of vibrant, UK-inflected dance music.

Tano - Step Into Vesuvio [In Armatura]

Rotterdam-based producer and sound artist Nikos lands on Flippen Bits with his debut EP, encapsulating his ever-evolving live sound in a tripped out four-tracker. 
Playfully layering rhythmic patterns, this textural debut EP takes inspiration from the sounds of techno, dub, bass music, drone, psytrance and morphs it into a trip of a debut outing.

Starting off slow and deep with trippy chugger Critter that delicately explores the spaces between the 6/8 and 4/4 metre, the EP picks up pace rapidly with the swooshing Cilia, a hypnotic techno track with breathy textures.

Nothing To Undo takes us further aspace with its polyrhythmic structures dancing around droney pads, while title track Metaturnal provides the perfect closing of the EP with psychedelic five-and-a-half minutes that continues the polyrhythmic Mantra of the EP with a more minimal approach.

Pinz rises with a fury on his debut EP ‘Chronic Pinz’. After releasing with Pinz & Pelz (Dance Is A Fetish, Lobster Theremin, Gallery Records) and Possible People (Extra Spicy) he breaks solo with an ambitious four tracker on his own label Dance is A Fetish.

Influenced by breaks and nihilism and fuelled mainly by Pinz own vocals, Chronic Pinz is an ode to frustration, contempt and the need to to find a rave for reprieve.

Rebellious in it’s opposition to current club culture - we are treated to a singular experience.

Mind Invader and Concentrate are the core of the release. Attainable but desirable breaks and 303. Whilst Hierarchy handles the only four to the floor on the record, made for peak time in a basement of 150 dancers or out in the Australian bush with no one else around.

Rivera prepares to unveil his sophomore album 'Dot Dash'...Our pick is 'Seamstress Clock' - a deep dive into drone-infused ambient, encompassing the listener in a cloud-like cocoon of textures. LA-based artist Cat Lauigan contributes her blissful poetry to the lush soundscape, weaving murmured vocals like a delicate thread that intertwines with Rivera’s experimental churns. Together, they craft a third-eye memoir where fragmented dreams are sewn into a singular tapestry, offering a glimpse into an alternate reality.

Antera, el EP debut de Neukila, fruto de siete meses de trabajo, es la primera declaración del artista. Profundiza en la arquitectura del bass, ofreciendo cuatro experiencias distintas que fusionan géneros.

La lista de temas equilibra energía cinética y concepto. «Néctar» es una mezcla de Neuro UKG que aplica el bajo crudo del Neurofunk a una base de UKG. Por su parte, «Corola» da en el clavo como híbrido de Club y Dubstep a 145 BPM.

Los demás temas aportan profundidad temática: «Apomixis» está pensada para bailar con sensualidad, mientras que «Sépalo» es un sentido homenaje, cuyo nombre hace referencia al órgano protector de la flor. Esto es música bass, pura y dura.
