Rose Kourts is an NYC-based DJ known for her versatility, undeniable command of groove, and infectious energy. Her spirited blend of sounds and styles from across the spectrum of house and techno encourages movement and release. A local mainstay and rising star in the New York dance music scene, Rose Kourts can regularly be found hosting events through her multiple residencies, releasing mixes and radio shows, and lighting up the floor at the city’s most buzzing clubs and underground parties. Within the last year alone she has appeared alongside artists such as Mr. G and Moodymann, Robert Owens, TSHA, TYGAPAW, Lauren Flax, OK Williams, Byron the Aquarius, The Carry Nation, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs; her festival bookings include Dweller 2021 (NYC), Shaker Mountain 2022 (NY), and Slingshot Fest 2022 (NC).

"Where I heard it: Played by Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs during his set at Elsewhere Rooftop in August 2021.


Why it stuck out to me: The original is timeless, but I couldn't place which specific version I was hearing and had to get my phone out. This version is soooo good, just a journey of a house track and classic Cajmere.

Associated memories: I've seen TEED play sets at least 4-5 separate times in NYC, but on this particular occasion I actually opened for him which was really special. I was freaking out when he dropped this one and the vocals first hit!"

Why it stuck out to me: I love to rave, but I'm also a softie. Call me a sucker for a funk-infused love letter of a track, but this is one of them. It's woozy, it's sexy, it fills you up and damn when the autotune hits it HITS. A real "who's taking me home" kinda tune.


Associated memories: This came at the end of a really great collaborative party and when this one dropped it got us all melty in the fog."

Dejando atrás nuestra serie super cute de mixes presentado por ecco records, traemos sin irnos muy lejos a uno de los integrantes del colectivo frenético afincado en valencia MEL GANG. 

Os presentamos a Willy nuestro primer invitado a las fiestas ecco y ahora primer invitado también a la serie de mixes, ^^ será por algo ^^. 

Nos trae un mix cocinado en la cabina de la sala laut una noche del pasado agosto, donde compartió cartel con bdmpaco y lucient. Este mix refleja su esencia ecléctica aunando sus dispares selecciones y técnica perfeccionada. En este set se mueve entre géneros y bpms, distinguiendo tres fases: una primera con ritmos fáciles cercanos al speed garage o al tech house; una segunda donde juega con los doble tempos del hip hop, el jungle o el hardcore; y una tercera donde los poliritmos se apoderan del final para acabar soltando uno de los hits del verano.

Alejandro Marenco, the shortened moniker of Nicaraguan-born, Chicago-based musician Noel Alejandro Gutierrez Marenco, makes expansive electronic grooves designed for “throwing ass.” Marenco’s music is evocative of that night, the one that feels simultaneously driftless and gigantic, one that glimmers upon remembering hours spent in a sweat-drenched, dimly-lit club, or the last dance at a dive bar down the street, or a blaring stereo during a wide-eyed 3am cross-city drive to get home. Largely creating in Ableton (and occasionally bolstered by a drum machine and Moog synth), Marenco fluidly weaves a variety of sounds from endless inspirations - Jamaican collective Equiknoxx, the latin tribal techno of Nick León, and the influential dance label Livity Sound, to name a few. Elastic beats, industrial percussion, fluid synth, oscillating rhythms, and a flourish for ever-changing instrumentation, Marenco’s mixes are reverberating moments of kaleidoscopic euphoria.
