A few days after Mr Coxsone Dodd died in May 2004 the New York based WKCR radio station played a 24 hour tribute to him on 8/5/04. The tribute played Studio One only and also featured tributes from Artists who knew him. It was hosted by a very genial DJ called Vinny.  I only became aware of it through browsing the Blood and Fire forum and being tipped off by Gordon Robertson (Thanks Gordon!). Anyway, I recorded some of it, including this section, which features Tony 'Downbeat' Screw. By 2004 I'd been buying Studio One music for a long time but this was a real revelation. I think it's one of the most entertaining pieces of radio I've ever heard and a fitting tribute to Mr Dodd (RIP). Anyway, I hope you enjoy it...
