We are happy to welcome Maceo Plex to Drumcode with the fourth instalment of his Conjure series, ‘Conjure Infinity’. Featuring two tracks ‘Conjure Dreams’ and ‘Conjure Floyd’, both are peak time monsters that introduce two very different elements. ‘Conjure Dreams’ utilises a groovy, melodic bass that is reinforced using tight thumping drums to shatter any dance floor into the universe. ‘Conjure Floyd’ builds into a more ‘heads down’ techno vibe with a very interesting breakdown. Two sure fire tracks to ignite the floor.

Premiere: Definition - Come Down ft. Liu Bei [Definition Music]

Jonas Rathsman announces his latest offering with cutting-edge innovators Crosstown Rebels. ‘Complex’ featuring Josef Salvat is released on 10th June 2016.

This is a tech-blues odyssey, an introverts primal scream, where complex emotions and urges are vented and perfectly complemented by Rathsman’s explorations into the dark corners of electronic music. Enjoy the journey. With the release only in the hands of a select few tastemaker DJs, ‘Complex’ has been making waves at the recent Miami Winter Music Conference, “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit down ovation” according to label boss Damian Lazarus. ‘Complex’ is set to be the first underground anthem of 2016. 

The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Swiss techno stalwart Deetron, who steers the song into percussive acid oblivion while Serge Devant offers up his deep house expertise for a dramatic and driving offbeat cut. 

With his instantly recognisable sound, Jonas has found praise the world over for his keen ear and transcendent sets, which have captivated listeners on both the international club and festival scenes.

Following his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Rathsman continues to showcase his technical capabilities and impressive track selection with his bi-monthly mix series ‘ELEMENTS’, now on its fourth instalment.

No rest and no compromises that is how we no the dancefloor tunes by Rafael Cerato. Grooving synth lines and a dark vibe in it will bring the right club feeling. The collab with Anton Dhouran and Jonatan Backelie as singer is more deep and melodic. Starting totally chilled and soulful this track will be the right one to come down. Back and fresh on the release circuit for 2k18 is Berlin-based Jose Antonio Garcia Soler, better known to his friends and followers by his artistic nom de guerre KID SIMIUS. The KID proudly presents his FLASHBACK EP, a heartwarming monster of a single featuring no-one less than the beloved band outfit KILNAMANA comprised of Enda Gallery and KID SIMIUS' brother Miguel Garcia Soler. With the original version of Flashback KID SIMIUS and KILNAMANA present a tender, yet highly emotional slow jam, a modernistic take on contemporary Future R'n'B and Urban Soul accompanied by epic synth leads, a sparse electronic and surely beatmaker influenced foundation. It's electrifying chorus touches hearts from deep within. On a remix tip for Flashback is NICONE. Pleasurekraft return to Drumcode on remix duties after a 2 year hiatus with all engines on the Cosmic Techno ship firing.  Big-room atmospheric drums and an infectious call and response hook intertwine with Green Velvet's otherworldly vocals to produce a new highly visceral and steroid injected version of the original.  The "Space Date" remix marks the sixth collaboration between the seminal purveyors of the Cosmic Techno sub-genre, Pleasurekraft, and Chicago's iconic dance music pioneer Green Velvet. 

The remix initially came about after Drumcode head Adam Beyer heard Pleasurekraft's "Welcome to the Universe" EP [Kraftek] at the end of 2018.  A huge supporter of the Swedish/American production duo, Adam felt so inspired by the whole EP, especially "Main Sequence" that the opportunity for Pleasurekraft to take their love of all things space related lent itself naturally to the thematic elements in Green Velvet's vocals. 

The track's spine is built around a hypnotic groove that is anchored to a single word from the original's vocals : "ecstasy" and slowly builds to the first climax of the record where the listener finally hears Green Velvet's vocals in full for the first time.  However it isn't until the second break of the track that the power of the remix is finally unsheathed, resetting the groove and building up to a second swell featuring a duo of call and response melodies between the lead hook and a lower end bass that takes the intensity of the track up another notch - ultimately culminating in complete silence that gives way to the remix's original heartbeat and repeating mantra: "ecstasy". 

Taking over a month of studio time to complete, it was road tested for the first time at Pleasurekraft's Fabric London gig, where there was no shortage of inquiries as to the ID of the record.  This soon became a repeating theme after Adam Beyer first included it on DCR446 and played it during both of his Ultra Miami (Resistance) sets, including his closing b2b set with Maceo Plex who loved the track so much he proceeded to get his own copy and play it during his own solo set one week later at Time Warp in Germany.  

Multiple clips of the remix have already gone viral on various social media and blog outlets, with no shortage of fans waiting anxiously for the June 24 release date on Adam Beyer's own Drumcode Records. In Adam Beyer's own words, Pleasurekraft are "setting new standards" with their continued foray into the Cosmic Techno sub-genre they continue to define.
