Don't You Feel

I've always loved this song off of Pygmy Lush's "Mount Hope" record.  When they toured through New Orleans, they always stayed with my neighbor and they gave me the record and loved it.  They'd have jam sessions til 5 in the morning but I never really minded cause they sounded so good.

Hard To Swallow

The Romanticism of the New Wave period in the mid 1980's is one of my favorite periods in music.  Love My Way reminds me of my 16 year old self, trying to make my way around the French Quarter and Lower Decatur area of New Orleans.  There was an ambience being in the quarter alone but it was mixed with the freshness of each new experience.  Coming from Grand Point, I didn't know much about dance clubs or the music coming from England, but I drove an hour almost every week for my schooling.

Love My Way/Ramblin Man

Margaret Hebert and I took a drive towards the sun with two guitars and a small amp.  We set up camp and played overlooking the gulf, ocean and sea and she stumbled into her punk past on her "Betty Boop" Les Paul guitar.

Dustan first began making music using his last name "Louque" in Brooklyn.  All solo work is done under that project name.  In 2008, he made a record with the Brooklyn band Royal Vagabonds (Josh Werner and Dave Burnett).  The album was never released as everyone lives in different cities.  

Dustan has had numerous songs in film and television and has stubbornly stayed independent of any labels.  He is currently on the road in his Westfalia.  Follow him at dustanlouque.com to find more music.
