i pushed myself to the brink with this one. after shouldering the intense guilt of procrastination for weeks, i decided to stop waiting for my creative and emotional stars to align, and forced myself to get it done. with the unending stress of my demons permeating mind, body, and soul, i compulsively eliminated anything short of high-energy from the tracklist. i wanted every tune to punch me in the head the way i craved, but selectively preserved a few calm moments because they were just too good to scrap. i then proceeded to meticulously plan out what is by far the most cumbersome and technically difficult set i've made to date, culminating in a high-pressure recording binge during a record heat wave, engulfed in wildfire-related air pollution. after one and a half full-force attempts, a few perfectionist meltdowns, and with sweat pouring down my brow, i finally hit a solid run. now, after hours of editing, splicing, and finding peace with borderline-imperceptible flaws, it's done.
