D.Maejor, Derrick Jerome Watson, Born July 1 in Greensboro North Carolina, D. Maejor started his venture with music 8 years aso once in a local rap group for a couple of years, different ideas and creative differences gave D.Maejor a option to venture off solo and find his own identity, more focused on the hip hop scene, being from Greensboro was a advantage and disadvantage D.Maejor knew plenty of local artist and groups, it wasnt until a friend passed him a beat program and sampling program when things started to come together for D.Maejor, Now years later Maejor found his signature sound and started his brand firehouse music was born !
Growing up in North Carolina D.Maejor was influenced and exposed to all types of music. Though he's a prodigy of the hip hop culture he is  still amazed at the transformation of hip hop/rap . Love it or hate it hip hop has resurrected music of every genre as well as cultures. Through sampling and remixes it has generated revenue for artist who never got their just due after years in the game. Hated and ridiculed in its infancy it penetrated Wall Street to Sesame Street. It has by any means necessary become a billions of dollars fortune 500 empire that shows no sign of slowing down. It has come from the Backwoods to Hollywood. Yet it has still not received the respect for what it really is…..an art form. D.Maejor states,  As a music producer D.Maejor's love and influences of music ranges from the Roots to Radicals like Public Enemy, Pete Rock to Herbie Hancok , Benny Goodman to the Goodie Mob from the keepers of the Funk to Funkadelics and the list goes on. he also have been blessed over the past few years of meeting some of the pioneers of hip hop by attending conventions and forums and was blessed with a lot business knowledge in which I tend to past on to others. Just keeping it positive by producing and promoting good music and entertainment for your listening enjoyment. Fire House Music and Fire House Productions has started to blaze trails already and has established national and international props.
