A modular techno experiment with the Arbhar granuliser, and Big Honking Button on drums. The original sound source for granulation was the very excellent and mournful Plinky synth.

I watched a Kieth Richards documentary on Netflix, which was excellent. He got talking about working with Gram Parsons, and I got thinking about this song. I love the Townes Van Zandt version on the Lebowski soundtrack, and this arrangement kindof came out of that, my poor time-keeping, and the sheer madness of doing the slide bit on a beat up old twelve string.

Sap, making its way from winter slumbers in dark networks of roots surges up, called to the heavens by the nascent buds of spring.

This, all realised on the modular synthesizer: Arbhar hums plaintive echoes of Plinky's winter song, while Plinky calls brightly to the heavens for warmer days.
