About EPIC KEWL TUNE: 
I started this song in January, while I was going through a sort of depressive phase. Something about being in the longest month of the year while also in the middle of a global pandemic/borderline pre-apocalypse really did wonders for the ol' noggin. And by "wonders" I mean it made me want to snap my own neck. The only way I could function was by taking my mind off of things and writing a song, so I did exactly that. It was the first song I made that made me feel... optimistic about my situation. I felt like I was warm, like I was surrounded by people that I care about, and I felt happy at the end of making it. Now let's cut the bullshit, this isn't a new classic or the greatest orchestral piece known to man. It's a goofy Melodic Future Color Tearout Riddim Who Gives A Shit song with mixing issues but I don't care because it made me happy and got me out of a emotional slump and if it can do that for me, than I really hope it can do that for other people.

ABOUT THE REMIX: like two months ago Storyboard gave out stems to people in his Discord server so I made a cool remix of it. That's it. It was a real hyperfocus stream-of conciousness moment. I was listening to the oh so beautiful vocals and all I could think about was how betrayed and angry she felt, so I wrote an angry song with sad melodies and such. Regardless, I know it's a bit different from the tonal melodic harmonic stuff I usually make, but I enjoy making this just as much as that, so you'll see a lot of both from me in the future. With that being said, I hope you all enjoy the song, and I hope you have a nice rest of your day!

Storyboard featuring Celestic - Nightmare Lullaby (Dmitri Remix)

I started this in October 2020 and I finished it in January 2021. I was listening to a lot of Barely Alive and Akeos at the time and I was making a lot of really shitty briddimy stuff that was just super amateur honestly. This was the first semi-decent tune I've made in my 3 years of taking producing seriously and also the first song in this project. I don't really mess with it now but back in the day this was my magnum opus pretty much lol

HALF-DEAF

I made this abomination in January 2021, when I tried to be a funny Tearout kid. I was heavily inspired by heketa and Oddprophet at the time I was making this, trying to do something that was truly actually heavy and loud Because Tearout. This is one of my least favorite songs i've made this year, not because it's bad, but because it's boring

I made this in August 2020, and I absolutely hate it my god if there's one filler track on this filler EP on this alternate account where I post music I don't wanna put on main it's THIS. I was just starting to actually know how to do stuff and I had a workflow going when I made this, I've went through literal months and months trying to make this shitheap sound at least semi decent but I'm sick and tired so fuck it track 3 on the EP

This was back in April 2021, one day I felt like making a brostep song and so I did. Nothing too special about this track, just not a fan tbh

2015

I made this song for a Skybreak sample competition in December 2020, and I put my goddamn heart and soul into it, but I lost to a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better artist than me, so I figured I'd put it on this EP as a nice closer and a sneak peak of my new style of music. It also works really well because if you were to put it on loop and you hear the outro to this and then it goes straight back to HALF-DEAF it sounds like a cohesive project (which is what's it's supposed to be lol). With that, that marks the end of The Power Of Optimism! I hope you enjoyed this project and these fun little mini essays and I hope you enjoy my newer music on my main account as well! First release of the year! Sonic Colors meant a lot to me as a young kid and I hold that game close to my heart to this day, so I was glad to take this piece of childhood nostalgia and really make it my own.

Okay! So, full disclosure, I started this song as part of a two-hour beat challenge, and I *never* planned on cleaning it up or finishing it. I got a lot of positive responses to the clip of it I posted on Twitter, so I figured I'd finish it for the people! I don't have a super deep relationship with the game, but I always loved the soundtrack, and I'm glad I was able to turn the title track into basically a completely different song! Also sorry if the whole "Future Tearout" thing gets on your nerves. I was trying to make a straight-up Tearout tune but I ended up with this. Also also sorry for making you read this much. I kinda want to give all my songs a little backstory to make them feel more special when you listen.  Also also also sorry for apologizing so goddamn much. Whatever. Stop reading. Enjoy the song!
