Another year, another Full Body Workout. At least that's how we are ringing in 2015 - with installment #14 of the FBW series. Mixed by our dear Alican, the 11-track compilation ranges from the futuristic oriental -Jaen Paniagua's track, named 'Udon', no less- to the old-school popping on Fadel's 'Elle', stopping in at Alican's own pinball-gone-mad creation of 'Machineself’; and Martin Eyerer and Marcelo Roselot's instantly classic bassline on 'The Catwalk'. The release is completed by choice selections of work by the likes of False Image, Mario Aureo & Spieltape, Thomas Gandey & Darick György, Aaaron, Tom Peters, Stefano Ritteri and Deepchild and, of course, a special mix by Alican featuring all the tracks. 2015, here we come!

Riva Starr – Raw Edits Vol 1

Renowned for his ability to bring creativity and flair to his wild remixes, edits and re-edits, Riva Starr is a hugely welcome new addition into the Saved fold. Bringing a special collection of new edits, the producer displays the kind of dexterity that has made him so impossible to pigeonhole over the last decade.

First up, Riva delivers a driving and energetic mashup of DJ ROLAND CLARK’s “The First Time” and Paul C & Paolo Martini’s “Take Some Time.” Frenetic percussion in the top end and futuristic FXs create a party-focused pace as the dubby atmospheres and pumping beats add the power and momentum. The ghetto-funk vocal adds another dimension to make this Riva’s own personal homage to the history of house music. The raw edit of “Chasing Autumns” by Taras Van De Voorde continues that exploration further, tapping into a unique mix of classic sounding house with rich piano chords and emotive strings; and a modern, raw sounding warehouse energy that burns and stomps away underneath.

Taking things into a much deeper hue, Riva with his colourful edit of Luca Morris’ “Play By Play.” Built around subtly shifting melodies, a deep, rolling bassline and tumbling drums, the track shuffles forward with bags of personality and charisma. Intoxicating and heady, this one will keep heads down whilst infiltrating the feet. Riva’s edit of Rino Cerrone & Flavio Diaz’s “Extraordinary Wiring” is a dizzying, head-spinning workout that swirls and shakes with an unsteadying disposition. Funky drums interplay with highly distorted synths and mechanical sounding basslines to create a sound that is at once playful, addictive and unstoppable.

The more than likeable Hamburg based triumvirat Wareika names artists like Sun Ra, Scientist and Fela Kuta being a big influence. Smells like perfectly matching Console’s taste of music, too! Martin Gretschmann is very sure that Wareika – if not splitting up before – will soon become big techno stars. Wareika travel a lot from America to Japan. Well, no big surprise: Henrik Raabe, Jakob Seidensticker und Florian Schirmacher belong to the rather rare species of electronic live acts generating their sound in both – an organic and an electronic way.

Dirty Doering is probably best known for his hit release "I Would" on the bar25 label. Born in Leipzig in 1978, but grew up in the Black Forest in southern Germany. He started DJing professionally at the age of 19, and soon followed his career to Berlin. He rose quickly as a part of the club and underground scene in Berlin, and soon the most influential locations such as "BAR25" (resident), "Watergate", "Tresor", "Club 103", "Arena", "HomeSweetHome", "Bachstelzen", "Rote Sonne", "Maria" and "Weekend" became the places to frequently see Dirty Doering playing his sexy electronic dance sound. Performances of his interpretation of the Berlin sound followed at the "Fusion" and "Melt!" festivals (Germany), Studio88 (France), Nadsat (Kopenhagen), "Fabric" (London), "Sonar" Festival (Spain),"Klubbers Day"
