Binaural audio installation by Dmitry Shubin "Clues of Sound" (field recordings, electronics, piano) is a project working at the intersection of music and audio documentation, which uses field recordings made on the streets of Vyborg. Everyday sounds that mark the urban space - the noise of the railway station, the chime of the clock on the Clock Tower, cooing of pigeons on Vodnaya Zastava Street - become elements of a complex multi-level structure, merging to the point of being indistinguishable with the sound timbres of a prepared piano and electronic noises. The project consists of five parts, each of which is tied to a specific point in the city, which can be found by entering the specified coordinates into google maps.

Бинауральная аудио-инсталляция Дмитрия Шубина «Улики звука» (полевые записи, электроника, фортепиано) - проект, работающий на стыке музыки и аудио-документации, в котором используются полевые записи, сделанные на улицах Выборга. Повседневные звуки, маркирующие городское пространство — шум железнодорожного вокзала, бой часов на Часовой башне, воркование голубей на улице Водной Заставы — становятся элементами сложной многоуровневой структуры, сливаясь до неразличимости со звуковыми тембрами «подготовленного» рояля и электронными шумами. Проект выполнен в технике бинауральной записи, рассчитанной на прослушивание в наушниках, и состоит из пяти частей, каждая из которых привязана к определенной точке города, которую можно найти, введя в гугль-карты указанные координаты.

First chord. Of one of those songs that are way too important. This chord serves as a signal for me to get up. As it serves for all other recievers, those who are already dead and who have not yet been born. Excluded from time. But this song hasn't started yet. This is the moment of lifting. And readiness. To absorb what comes next. Glory, pride. And symbols. How easy it must be to watch death from their shelter. One can even sing along. And how slow should the volume of a choir increase so that we do not notice that we are already screaming?

.what does the voice mean? as a form, as a sign, as a symbol, as an expression.
.what does the voice mean? breaking silence, not breaching the silence, but transforming it.
.the cutting of space by the time of 4'33", during which the voice and sound legitimately have the right to be in any form of the surrounding.
.work (many)voices shows that not only the voice transforms the space, but also the space itself and the events taking place can cut the voice into pieces, tear its essence and transform the voice with noise into silence.

During my 3 month-stay in Belgrade in 2014 I ranged with my microphones and a recorder many areas of the city, preferably their peripheries.
The street-map, divided into eight rings became a base of my score. For each of this ring-districts a multichannel piece was formed. Raw field recordings as well as transformed soundmaterial are connected, both open insights in a lifely and complex acoustic landscape.
This piece nr. 5 represents the fifth "ring", main material is the recording of an escalator.

composition for 3 zithers and electronics. First performance in September 2014 at festival "Klangspuren" in Schwaz/Tirol, Austria by Trio GREIFER: Reinhilde Gamper, Leopold Hurt, Martin Mallaun.
The piece starts with short percussive events and develops to a sound continuum. This transition is not gradually but cut in many different sound- and time-states, like the transition from night to day.

Martin’s work with the physicality of interference takes place within the beating patterns of a multi-sensory field, a Moiré, and to celebrate his wonderful compositions, SARU invited a number of artists from around the world to realise his work.
