This podcast came out of a little inspiration from a visit from @LuckofAccess boss, @andrey-pushkarev, who stopped by the shop for a little private dig.

⚡️For our chapter #47 of DMNCAST we have a great special guest WISSLR 🇫🇷

“WISSLR is a DJ and a producer from Paris. He started his music journey in 2013 when he was 20 on a solo ride until a new project begun two years later.
A duo that went by the name Mancerow was created in 2015. During 3 years and a half of work, the duo performed all around Paris and through the French country in great venues like Rex Club, La Machine du Moulin Rouge or le Café Barge in Paris, Magazine Club in Lille or the Marvellous Island Festival. They released several EPs on labels such as Blind Vision Records, Decay Records and Time Has Changed. The Mancerow Project finally came to an end in June 2019.
His will to keep going on his own was as strong as it was at the beginning to share his universe as it really is. All the past experiences and influences going from rock music, funk, hip hop to electronic music will allow him to do so. The WISSLR project came to life in July 2019 with the same goal as always before : make people dance at all times, anywhere, endlessly.”

“Diego Pazos is a DJ/producer from Guayaquil who has been representing the underground scene in Ecuador since 2021. His love for music can be seen from his origins, deeply influenced by the Guayaquil rap and hip-hop scene. This is how he built a special connection with the vinyl format and a passion for the technical side of turntable repair.

With the help of turntable legend DJ Cone, Stepzz founded his personal project “Los Discos de Pepe,” a project that aims to fulfill several activities: vinyl sales, technical service, event promotion, and cultural outreach. The most important aspect of this concept is the connection with his closest colleagues when it comes to choosing the music to sell, listen to, or dance to.“

“Cillian entered the nightlife scene very early to work and moved away from dubstep music to explore the deep, minimal electronic world. He met Sydney Kebosh, who introduced him to vinyl and music production. In 2016, his first EP was released with Sydney’s Tokyo Red Recordings, selected by Variety Music along with Helly Larsson, Motorcitysoul, Frink, Tim Engelhardt, Joesky, and other artists. He began producing solo and his first release came out with Conceptual Records as part of a various artists compilation, followed by another compilation with Inwave Records. His productions continued with Interplanetary Lab, a label from Medellin in Colombia, and two releases with Vandalism Musique by Dubphone. He continued releasing music on Yoshii, Soblazn Music, and Whoyostro.The project continues with the opening of a new label, Vibra, focused on underground music, ranging from minimal to acid breakbeat, from deep house to rominimal. Supported by Trommel and played at festival such as Sunwawes”

On the northern tip of Africa, the repetitive percussion of groovy tribal drumming permeates the Tunisian streets. These native sounds have long echoed throughout the continent and carry with them a heritage that stretches back across generations, and time itself. Kaisar Mhamdi’s story is firmly embedded within this ancient landscape. His belief is that long before Techno was born in Detroit, Techno has been taking place in Africa. Not through sophisticated electronic devices but through traditional hand made drums and indigenous chanting. Embodying this age-old energy, his dynamic style takes its cue from this past and his present. Effortlessly gliding between experimental and funky four to the floor sound perspectives. Conjuring wild atmospheres and whole states of resonance through precise elements, he ensures a complete astral journey. This unic skillset has not gone unnoticed and has resulted in releases on the likes of Moscow's @bprecs, Romanian label @Aforisme, and imprints @GEMiNiiRecords & @Danzha. All laying the groundwork for his debut LP, which is forthcoming soon on The Aviary.

We've given ROOT permission to unleash his full creative might, so we're proud to feature this monstrous 3HR mix featuring 100% of his own solo material. Produced between April & July this year.
