Adam Nathan is a London-born, Toronto-raised DJ and producer quickly making a name for himself on the global deep house scene. Previously collaborating under various monikers and part of Toronto’s influential Release Records crew, Adam is now unveiling potent solo tracks under his name. This new EP for Viva Recordings, titled Soulmachine, has the well-honed sound of a studio veteran, with a smooth, warm sound and emotive passages. Adam’s roots as a drummer come through with the stripped down emphasis on rhythm, while melodic flourishes and dynamic builds play masterfully on top. 

The EP opens with ”Soulmachine”, featuring dramatic piano chords and a fine, pulsating kick drum. The cut builds in a mesmerizing fashion, ending in a beautifully atmospheric breakdown. “Us and Them” gets into even deeper territory, full of synth pad transmissions, shimmering sonics, and the stirring, echoing speech that enters near the halfway point. “Coda”, directly inspired by the legendary nightclub of the same name, closes things out with a classic feel. Drawing upon the deepest influences of ‘90s house music, “Coda” is dreamy, multilayered treat for the latest of nights and the most intimate of dance floors.

Amsterdam-based Nachtbraker continues to create buzz within clubland as he showcases more of his unique approach to dance music, this time launching a new imprint strictly for his own material. 'NB001' features an eclectic collection of deep cuts, including the tripped out house groove 'Mild Lifestyle' that features intricately woven textures layered over driving percussion and a smooth synth line. This is the creative approach listeners have come to know and love from the Dutch talent. Now he's proving there is still loads more to come. Look out! 

Nachtbraker had this to say on the vision behind his new label of the same name: "I'm starting a fresh label called... Nachtbraker. No worries Quartet Series will still release music, but I needed an outlet where I can release whatever I want, whenever I want."

Roam Recordings welcomes Barcelona artist Undo back to the fold with his superbly crafted and moving Bird Without Wings EP. The title track is a thoughtful and provocative work of blissful electronics complimented by the slightly darker 80s influenced Espacio Sideral.

The EP is backed by two excellent remixes from Roam alumni Curses and Rigopolar. After his huge remix of Tronik Youth's Tunnel of Hate Rigopolar returns to give Bird Without Wings a mesmerizing shoe gazing remix perfect for melting into outer space. Rounding out the EP is the always impeccable Curses who mixes rock, 80s, and XTC into a heavy and beautiful take on Espacio Sideral.
