Reformed Recordings present something very special for their 30th release out 12-06-2014. DJ Juicy is here with his debut release, The Compound EP. On the EP, he teams up with more debutants, Melodize and Deli-J, for four amazing tracks, all of which offer something a little different. Representing the Oxford scene, Juicy is a true veteran of the game, DJ’ing since 1993 and producing since 2002. His wealth of experience really counts for a lot, adding depth and feeling to RR030. The EP begins with ‘Altered Facts’, a sliding, slicing tune which brings a touch of the old skool to 2014. If the layered, jumping beats don’t get you, the bounding, resounding bass will do. Plenty tough enough to get your teeth into, Juicy counters this with some nicely lifting classic synths, allowing the track to bounce along without getting out of hand. 

‘Gimme Sensei’ introduces us to Melodize, as the producers pay tribute to the herb, with attitude and atmosphere to spare. Charging everything to full power, Juicy and Melodize go in hard on this one, lacing the track with all-out jump up energy and vibes a-plenty.

Juicy and Deli-J are big ‘In The Game’ next, adding a touch of magic on the third track. This one takes a similar path, with a wide-open, cinematic intro opening out into a roughneck of a tune. The sounds transcend the ages, bringing old skool feeling to new age intensity, with collapsing, colliding beats illuminating the synths and movie samples. 

Melodize comes back in on the closer, the iconic ‘No Stopping Us’, where the producers bring their A-game to an absolutely huge track that is guaranteed to burn down the dancefloor, leaving no survivors in its wake.

A massive EP from Reformed Recordings and DJ Juicy, setting things up for a big summer.
