Inspired by the old-school sounds of Noisia, Phace, Misanthrop, Chook, Neosignal, and the vibes of Subtitles and Renegade Hardware, this talented producer has released music on labels such as Vision, C4C, and Evolution Chamber. As he makes his UK debut at the Renegade Hardware Carnival After Party, we thought it fitting that he compiles the first of many Renegade Hardware Promo Mixes.

I hope you enjoy listening to this as much as I enjoyed putting it together.  

Note for promoters: I have purposefully put together just a 30 minute mix as I appreciate we all have very busy schedules.  It’s not easy getting your message across in such a short mix but it was enough time however to have a gradual increase in energy.  In terms of classic drum and bass I can be very versatile.  This particular mix is just a showcase of some of my personal favourites.  I’m also more than happy to do this as a vinyl mix if need be.  This was recorded on a Pioneer DDJ-FLX4.

Welcome to Volume One of the brand new Renegade Hardware 'SoundCloud Sessions'.  We're delighted to hand Aye Rights the honour of starting off this new series and he does not disappoint with this carefully selected list of tracks.  

Hailing From the North East of England, Aye Rights is a producer who embraces both old school
and modern sides of Neurofunk Drum and Bass. Combining the character of crunchy beats and
basslines from the Tech-Step era with the meaty weight of modern productions Aye Rights has
very quickly gained recognition from some of the old "headz" in the industry alongside those from the newest generation of Neurofunk.

Our first Dispatch main label release of the year, Mako takes us into the next century, following the Dispatch 100 album with an aptly name release – ‘The 101 EP’.

Leading on from his ‘Back To The Source EP’ in 2014, Mako has been a huge favourite of ours, effortlessly engulfing everything we love about the past and the present, with a distinctive ability to create raw, incredibly authentic music, with a vibe that hits the emotions just as sweetly as the bottom end pressure hits your chest.

At the helm, the EP is led by a mighty track, in ‘The Mercenary’ alongside Andy Skopes, having caused some serious damage since its inception, littered by tough breaks and searing lows. An endemic character of Mako’s music and the rugged beats continue right through the release, including the serene amen journey ‘Looking Back’ and the super tight drum programming of ‘A Break From Suspension’.

Commencing our next chapter in style, Mako brilliantly illustrates his agenda for the future, paying mutual homage to the old skool, whilst pushing the limits our technology today.

Mako - A Break From Suspension - Dispatch Recordings 101 (CLIP) - OUT NOW

Mauoq continues the run of excellent releases on his Mauoq Music imprint and this time he's brought friends! 'Combos #2' sees the Italian producer teaming up with some of his pals in the scene and we've got the premiere of Bredren collaboration 'Staircase'.

True to their respective styles this is a dark, brooding take on the halftime sound with heavy kicks and snares punctuating tense atmospheres. Snarling bass and trippy FX hits ice the sonic cake nicely; check it out and look out for the EP dropping via Bandcamp from March 15th, with general release following on March 29th.
