SYMPTOM / IZOTOXIN / WROCŁAW

Swoją karierę rozpoczął na początku roku 2002 na wrocławskich imprezach 'Podróż Do Środka Dzwięku' w Wagon club'ie. W tym samym roku Symptom wydał swój debiutancki single - 'Cocaine/Turboganja' nakładem Chicago'wskiej wytwórni 'Assassin Records'. W połowie 2002 roku Symptom wraz z dj'em Byte'em założyli kolektyw 'Izotoxin. 'Izotoxyczni' szybko zdobyli renomę i pozycje liderów wrocławskiej sceny drum&bass, za sprawą serii imprez 'Inside The Machine' i 'Izotoxin Nights', na których gościli czołówkę polskiej sceny drum&bass, a później dzięki serii imprez 'Izotoxin Goes Global', na które zaprosili takich dj'i jak: Temper D (Renegade Hardware), Rage (True Playaz) czy Missrepresent. Pod koniec roku 2002 Symptom dostał się do finału 'Made in Poland'- konkursu na najlepszy polski drum&bass'owy kawałek, na którym zajął trzecie miejsce i w rezultacie jego numer -'Bad Boy' został wydany na kompilacji 'The 1st Selection Of Made In Poland’ nakładem SonicTrip Records. W 2005 roku ukazał się winyl "Sonic Saturation-Euphrates E.P." (Mekka Tunes 001), na którym znalazł się remix wyprodukowany przez Symptoma. W między czasie Marcin skupił się na pracy w studio i produkcji beat’ów hiphopowych pod pseudonimem GPD.
W 2009 roku dołączył do live bandu wrocławskiej reggae grupy Natural Dread Killaz w której grał na klawiszach. W tym samym roku zespół NDK rozpoczął nagrywanie płyty „Ile Lat” u Symptoma w studio. Płyta ukazała się w 2010 roku nakładem Pink Crow Records. W 2009 zrealizował wokale na pierwszy solowy album Waldemara Kasty - 13, który ukazał się 13 listopada 2009 nakładem wytwórni Szpadyzor Records. W tym samym roku został producentem i realizatorem wrocławskiego zespołu hiphopowego ’Wice Wersa’, z którym popełnił dwa albumy: Między Niebem a Piekłem (Wielkie Joł - 2010), O Niebo Więcej (Urban Rec - 2012). W 2012 wyprodukował dwa utwory na płyte Mesajah - Jestem Stąd, płyta uzyskała status złotej. W 2013 roku, nakładem Lion Stage Records, wyszła płyta ’MiloMailo/GPD - Kamień Milowy’. Od 2014 do 2016 grał na syntezatorach w live bandzie rapera Małpa. 5 lutego 2016 roku ukazał się album 'Małpa - Mówi' nakładem wytwórni Proximite, GPD był jednym z producentów. Album pokrył się platyną. Rok 2015/2016 to powrót do drum&bass, razem z Crab’em i Byte’em organizują cykl imprez 'DnB Nights' we wrocławskim klubie Heca.
W 2017 roku wychodzi hiphopowy album 'Dogas - Inny Gatunek’, w większości wyprodukowany i zrealizowany w studiu Marcina - BOOMROOM. Następne lata to przede wszystkim praca w studio nad muzyką do reklam, gier i seriali.

Das allgegenwärtige Jungle-Revival im Drum and Bass ist uns nicht verborgen geblieben. Doch möchten wir dieser Strömung auf unsere eigene Weise Tribut zollen. Wir haben eine EP zusammengestellt, die sich dem archaischen Sound verschrieben hat – irgendwo zwischen Ed Rush & Optical und Bad Company – sich aber moderner Produktionsmethoden bedient. So möchten wir ein Stück weit die Wurzeln freilegen, auf denen sich der zeitgenössische Trommelbass gründet. Dies nehmen wir zum Anlass, um mit Echochambers einen gänzlich neuen Artist vorzustellen, der in Neuseeland lebt. Er bringt gleich zwei Nummern in die EP ein: „Tectonic Plates“ ist ein Sägezahnthriller, der tektonisch so einiges ins Wanken bringen kann, während „Baggs Snott“ mit seinen Squeaks und der wabernden Bassline eher auf den 2000er BC-Pfaden wandelt. Mit Acid Lab aus Deutschland konnten wir einen Protagonisten gewinnen, der als Aushängeschild für darken, amen- und teilweise Jungle-lastigen Sound internationale Wertschätzung genießt. „Generate“ steppt sauber und organisch auf den Spuren des einstigen Virus-Sounds. Als dritten im Bunde haben wir wieder UK-Legende Neil Badboy an Bord, der hier mit „Dreams“ eine rotzig-laute Variante von Oldschool-JumpUp hinlegt. Da biegt sich alles, was wie die Wurzeln arbeitet. Eine Menge Holz, diese EP!

The ubiquitous Jungle revival in Drum and Bass has not remained hidden from us. But we want to pay tribute to this trend in our own way. We’ve put together an EP that’s committed to the archaic sound – somewhere between Ed Rush & Optical and Bad Company – but uses modern production methods. In this way we would like to bare a bit of the roots on which the contemporary Drum and Bass is based. We take this as an opportunity to introduce Echochambers, a completely new artist who lives in New Zealand. He brings two numbers into the EP: „Tectonic Plates“ is a sawtooth thriller that can shake a lot tectonically, while „Baggs Snott“ with its squeaks and the wafting bassline is more on the 2000s BC path. With Acid Lab from Germany, we were able to win a protagonist who enjoys international esteem as a figurehead for dark, amen and partly Jungle-heavy sound. „Generate“ steps cleanly and organically on the trail of the Virus sound of the past. As the third in the league we have UK legend Neil Badboy on board again, who here with „Dreams“ lays down a snotty, loud variant of oldschool JumpUp. Everything that works like roots bends there. This EP is a whole lot!

Having been in love with Drum & Bass for over 20 years Fouria has spent the last couple of years taking the mixing side of things more seriously. Showcasing her love for the harder side of the scene, a selection of Neurofunk, Technoid and Crossbread, while also having space in her soul for Liquid and the softer side of the genre.
