DnB Source is proud to present the debut release from Heavy Intent featuring vocals from The Rumour with DNBSOURCE017. Hailing from the Midlands, Heavy Intent has been perfecting his sound since 2009 and we’re very fortunate to be able to release the first of many releases he has hidden away. Collaborating on his debut release is The Rumour, a vocalist originating from South London who has a big passion for RnB as well as roots in the Drum & Bass scene since the early 90s. 
‘Bad Disease’ is a soulful & stunning slice of liquid Drum & Bass with rich strings and pianos floating throughout. Vocals from The Rumour compliment this soundscape perfectly, adding the human element to the mixture. The track starts with a glimmering guitar delicately balanced with piano, with snippets of vocals gliding in. Just before the drop The Rumours vocals open up before the low end makes its presence known. Heavy Intent subtly lets the track roll out, giving all elements room to breathe and in the process creating a track that is at home on the dancefloor as it is listened to on headphones.

DnB Source is proud to present a stellar debut release fromAkuma for DNBSOURCE018. Akuma is a self-taught guitarist and producer from Norwichwho discovered his love for dance music at raves in the fields of Norfolk. Over the years he was introduced to Drum & Bass and his journey began into production. The next step in his journey is this release where he introduces two new tracks, “Hanzo” & “It Is Nothing”. 
“Hanzo” begins with an eerie intro, building as it fills with mystery. It drops into a steppy sub low roller, with carefully placed detailsgiving it a cinematic vibe. Delayed chopped up voxjuxtapose the percussion as the bassline gives any system worth its salt a serious work out. “It Is Nothing” continues Akuma’s trend of masterful low end engineering. With a bassline reminiscent of old skool Drum & Bass past but with a new skool twist, Akuma’s debut on DnB Source is a solid foundation to the beginning of his journey as an artist.

Celebrating with us is Heavy Intent, who returns to DnB Source after his massive release ‘Bad Disease’, along with Kurruptdata and J Rokka. Kurruptdata has recently released on Spearhead Recordings and Soul Deep Recordings to name a few, we’re proud to have him with us celebrating our 20th release! ‘Space Between’ is a technical breaks workout, employing the vocal excellence of J Rokka to bring a modern day take on an old school sound.

Ben’s the front man of rising band ‘The Kid Kapachi’ and here he displays his diversity as an artist featuring on a Drum & Bass track.  ‘Summer Jam’ evokes memories of lazy summer days, with a powerful warm bassline that perfectly compliments the vibe.
