June 13th 2016 sees Riva Starr’s illustrious Snatch! Records deliver the next instalment within their new compilation series entitled ‘In Dubb Vol.2’, ahead of their forthcoming label showcase during Barcelona’s prestigious ‘Off Week’.

All productions from this impressive 11-track offering have been especially handpicked by Snatch! Records’ main man Riva Starr to showcase the label’s dubbier side and provide a taster of what people can expect to hear at their highly anticipated ‘Off Week’ event, where Starr will headline alongside some of the imprint’s finest talents (Santos B2B Haiku575, Paul C & Paolo Martini, Pele & Shawnecy, Paride Saraceni B2B Astin, Ruben Mandolini B2B Ki Creighton and Upercent) at Barcelona’s intimate Macarena venue on June 15th.

Alexkid’s remix of Riva Starr’s ‘DubLife’ kicks proceedings off in suitable fashion, delivering a deep soul-infused House number that leads perfectly on to Dennis Cruz’s groove-driven ‘Orisha’, similarly offering a cool and collected rhythm at its core. Other highlights include Metodi Hristov’s slammin’ Tech House roller ‘Kattegat’, Ruben Mandolini’s twitchy House workout ‘Broken Down’ which boasts a very seductive Nina-Simone-esque vocal, the disco-tinged ‘Night Shift’ by Clio & Yvan Genkins and the brilliant hypnotic closing number from Markantonio named ‘Arp’.

In addition, the compilation also delivers a sublime selection of exclusive dancefloor-ready gems from some of House music’s finest established and upcoming artists such as the highly talented Snatch! artists Astin and Upercent, Brazil’s Hardmix, Germany’s Frag Maddin and Italy’s Riky Ild.

German duo Obscure Shape & SHDW drop three robust Techno tracks in their first full release on Rekids this May.

One of the most exciting acts in Techno today, Obscure Shape & SHDW are the founders of From Another Mind - the label and party series making waves in South-Germany. Aside from Rekids, where they remixed Radio Slave’s ‘Vision’ last year, the pair’s abilities in the studio have seen them invited by Slam for two separate remixes of Monoloc and Envoy on Soma, with more projects to be announced.

‘Himmel Und Erde’ is a cavernous cut boasting colossal kicks and skipping percussion before a tantalising melody comes into play. ‘Am Ende Der Welt’ is more deep and atmospheric in comparison, blending dusky percussion with echoing synths until ‘Gefallene Engel’ demonstrates syncopated drums and an otherworldly hook that conjure up a mesmerising aesthetic to conclude the release.

Nick Devon is back with this mesmerizing four piece EP 'Limbo'. This new collection of tracks departs from a slightly more dance floor aesthetic into a curious dissection of movement through time.
 
The first taste of Nick Devon's most recent musical direction "Limbo" is a lucid and purposeful assertion of Devon's creative abilities in a sensitive yet powerful way. The slight dissonance and play with dark and light in this piece paints a picture of an intense journey through the deepest layers of the ocean. 
 
The second track "Landscapes" brings on a more colourful and mysterious exploration of outer space. The entirety of this track provides an other-worldly vantage point to human existence. From the driving rhythms to the echo of electronic synths and the somewhat eerie and ethereal addition of the human voice, throughout this song Devon creates an augmented and elevated perception of reality. 
 
"Symbiose" feels like an extension of the ethereal energy of "Landscapes" with an added infusion of enthusiasm and elation. The airy melodies which play atop the driving bassline in this track depart from a more dissonant soundscape towards the beginning from "Limbo" and "Landscapes". 
 
The final track "Overflow" is the epic and anthemic end to a soft and soul-searching collection of songs. The tinkering riffs and deep growling basslines balance each other throughout the gentle builds of this suspenseful piece. 
 
The gently absurdist contradictions in this reflective collection are reminiscent of surrealist paintings which take you on a journey through your own mind. A wide span of emotions and colour, Limbo shows a dynamic and versatile sensibility from Nick Devon as a unique electronic artist.

Naethan is the musical reincarnation of a belgian artist with more than a decade of experience and we are proud to present his first EP (of many) on Atmosphere Records.
'Introducing myself', the first track sets the tone for this mini album with 4 strong melodic, emotional tracks. It's a beautiful, dreamy song made out of a subby bassline, lingering strings and a firm arpeggio sound. 'Home' is the EP title song and our favourite Naethan production so far. The dirty bassline sits perfectly in the mix of evolving synths and strings, progressing into an 'all hands in the air' break and then drops into a massive energetic explosion of sounds and feelings.
'Mantra' follows nicely after 'Home' and takes this EP a notch further, more energy and more of those catchy bassline sounds and ever evolving synth progressions. Last but not least, 'Offline' which shows Naethans craftmanship as the versatile producer that he is. Again those strings accompanied by a solid arp, as it becomes one of his trademarks, recurring throughout the track on top of a dark breakbeat.
