DO SHOCK BOOZE, who runs the Japanese indie label TOTEM TRAXX, has released “Firefly Squid,” a floor-ready techno track featuring KENJI IKEGAMI playing the shakuhachi, a traditional Japanese instrument, and flavored with electronic tribal dance and trance music. Firefly Squid” on his home label.The track is a hard, heavy minimal techno with a dubby percussive sound and a somewhat mysterious, ravey synth sound.The remixers for this album include Len Faki's Figure label, as well as the label's party series “MEiYOU,” a Japan performance at the outdoor festival “GLOBAL ARK,” Bassiani, Reclain your City, and many others, and a podcast series that brings the current techno scene to the world. The album also features three tracks with Arthur Robert, who has participated in numerous podcast series such as Bassiani, Reclain your City, etc., and DJ M.A.X, a P.A., DJ, and producer who is active mainly in Japan and whose obsession with sound quality is beyond the realm of enthusiasts, as the splendid remixer. Jun Jikooha, a member of the goa trance unit “Jikooha” who has been active in the trance scene for over 25 years and has released on various labels worldwide, has released his second Acid Techno release under the name “Jun Jikooha.

The original tracks on this EP, Bloodsport and Feel No Pain, are dance tracks for those who have the will to resist the violent world of cruel capitalism and still make their way through everyday life.

The collaborative version with Do Shock Booze, who presides over the label, is a more dopey reworking of the original,
The remix by Tomocomo, Jun Jikooha's beloved wife, is a dubby creation of a different space.

Born and raised in Kumamoto pref.
Yoichi Hayashi's solo music project, ＜DO SHOCK BOOZE＞, blends techno, bass music, and tribal elements to create a trance and ecstatic experience. He also explores experimental sounds, focusing on ambient, halftime beats, and environmental music.
He heads the indie label ＜TOTEM TRAXX> and personally handles the artwork and visual direction for his own releases and those of associated artists, showcasing his passion for design. He also organizes the party series "MEiYOU."
Furthermore, as a core member of the long-established outdoor festival "GLOBAL ARK," he is involved in its planning and production and has launched a spin-off label, ＜Global Ark Recordings＞.
Currently based in Tokyo, he actively performs in various clubs, DJ bars, and live venues across Japan, including major outdoor events like FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL, RAINBOW ASO, Re:birth, Meeting Point, Brightness, and EN FESTIVAL. His diverse endeavors also include producing music for fashion shows, creating sound design tailored to specific spaces and purposes, providing music for illuminations nationwide, and collaborating as an arranger across various genres.
We eagerly anticipate how his ongoing exploration will continue to shape his work in ever more liberated and uncharted directions.

The main guest is Stefan Vincent, a firmly established talent in the European electronic music scene. With releases on notable labels like Token, Dynamic Reflection, Symbolism, and Non Series, Stefan Vincent has a powerful presence, known for his innovative and intricately constructed sound that defies genre boundaries.

His unique style and unwavering commitment to his craft have earned high praise from critics and selectors worldwide, leading to features on prestigious compilations like Fabric and Balance. With his diverse productions and captivating DJ sets, he's thrilled audiences across the globe, from Europe and South America to Asia and Australia.

As an artist, Stefan Vincent never stops evolving, constantly pioneering new sonic territories. His journey is driven by a will to always push limits and an insatiable curiosity for the unknown.

This journey is now bringing him to Japan for the GLOBAL ARK 2025 outdoor music festival! The festival runs for three days from August 29th to 31st at "Suteki na Mura Campsite" in the Asamagakushi Hot Spring Village, located on the west side of Mt. Haruna.
